  1. the 260 is manual the z31 is auto. He is board and wants somthing different to play with. I have only had the z31 for 3 mounths and i am still in the honey moon period. The 88 california model Is quite rare hear in australia, but then again so is the 260 2 seater
  2. thanx guys. I did find the FAQ thred in the forced induction section just after i wrote this thred which answered every thing i need to know. We don't have many people here in Australia who have experimented with the turbo l28 so its a bit harder to find the information here. it seams the l28et was much more common in the usa
  3. My old man came around this morning with an offer. He wants to do a straight swap, his 260z 2 seater for my z31 300zx California. I am having trouble making up my mind because i love both cars and they are most likely equally as rear, particularly here in Australia. The 260z is probably worth a bit more but price is irrelevant as i would never sell either of them. hear are the comparison pics

  5. I picked up this 88 z31 turbo to drive while i am restoring my 240z. I got it for a mear $3000

First off I will tell you what i have planed, I have a p90 head and turbo manifold so i will be adding boost. I will be aiming for a streetable power figure between 200 and 300rwhp. heres the questions 1. which block would be better suited for my application. 2. will i need forged pistons for these power figures 3. how much power can a stock bottom end handle with boost Thanx Mick....
