  1. Hey john! can i ask you what you mean by not successful? did they get figured out, or did the engine fail? I'm just trying to assess if this is a viable option and if it can be reliable.
  2. Thanks guys and I understand that the path of least resistance to get 86mm is to use an L28. I just want to know if the L24 can handle that amount of overbore like the L28.
  3. I know that people do this to the L28 all the time for the 3.1 stroker, i just don't hear about it on the L24 that much. I assume that youre right and that most would just switch out to the L28 block; i still want to know if it can be done safely on an L24.
  4. After reading a few of the posts here on the topic i was wondering if an l24 could be safely bored to 86mm? I read in some posts here that the maximum that Nissan suggested was 2mm (85mm), but have people done this and had a reliable engine when they were done?
  5. That looks great! I would also like to know the price and the amount of time it took for them to finish.
  6. I think i would only need to sell a handful to make my money back... and as an added bonus i would get a nice "new" bezel. Unless someone else is setup to knock this out quickly then i will prob give it a shot after i get a bezel worth making a mold of. anyone?
  7. Could you send me some photos/price details on it?
  8. I was 99% sure this was the case but i wanted to check and make sure someone wasnt reproducing them. I have a wild hair to make a mold and cast a few of them. I just need one in better shape then what i have to do it.
  9. i have a 72 240z and i would like a "new" radio/heater bezel. I have looked around i cant find anyone selling a new-ish one. anyone know where to get one that is not all beat up, most of the ones i see on ebay etc are in poor shape. BTW i did try to search for this but i didnt find anything; i'm sure its been covered over and over again but i guess i just missed it. TIA
  10. Just to judge... I got a 72 240z about 2 years ago and it was very clean zero rust (all old rust was cut and patched). The engine etc was in good shape and the interior was perfect with the exception of a small patched crack in the dash. So from my experience 5k should get you a great 240z that would not require any major work. EDIT: I found the car in GA.
