  1. Okay, I re-routed the PCV lines, added an oil feed restricter and took the car out for a spin, NO SMOKE!! WHAHOO! So I installed my 60# injectors, and went out for a little cruise. Ya, the video sucks but you can get an idea of how loud the turbo is, and how fast it spools. So far, this China turbo is doing an alright job. :D

    these videos are just teasers:x

  2. it dont matter what the muffler is,your NOT gonna see nowhere near 40. especially just changing a muffler instead of full exhaust. i highly doubt you will see a change of more than 10-15whp witha full exhaust on these cars....i could see it coming out of a built v8 tho.

  3. Have any of you guys given John a call to see what he has to say about that situation?

i did as soon as i found out it wouldnt fit. i sent him pics and all. then i started talking to some people on here that have put 4l60s in and they all had to beat the tunnels on 280's. but this problem isnt included in the manual from john because they used the t56. but will the crossmember just not fit between the rails OR will it fit between and not line up to the transmission?

  4. whats the crossmember going on? a t56 or 4l60. dont let it fool you, without beating the snot out of the trans tunnel on the passenger side, the crossmember wont fit on the 4l60. the servo and pan hits. my tunnel had to be moved a good inch or 2 in areas to claer the wider automatic

  5. ok. i have searched and searched first off. i have a 76 280z im in the process of putting an ls1 and 4l60 in. i cut off the original trans mount ears in the tunnel just like it says, BUT my pan on my trans. is hitting the passenger side of the tunnel. and to get the trans lined up with the new crossmember from jci, it needs to go more to the passenger side. this would involve some hammer time. have yall had this trouble with the 4l60?or is there something wrong with my trans mount from jci?

IF any of you have a spare trans crossmember from jci around PLEASE lay it on the ground and measure how far the middle/bottom of the crossmember is from the ground. mine measured 1 3/4 inch from the ground. any help with this is really appreciated. its really holding me up.

  6. cut all the factory mounts like battery tray, MAF etc. to give it a cleaner look. this is NOT the final color, this is just the base for the candy.

You all will be suprised about the color, ive never seen it done on a Z.

got the car taped up today at about 6 and andy sprayed the sealer then 3 coats of silver base. then we realized we were out of candy, so we have to wait til 2morrow to finish painting it. luckily the silver allows for 24 hours of work time between coats. ill keep yall updated 2morrow and the rest of this weekend on it, the painting should be done 2morrow evening so ill get some updated pics. ill be making some BIG progress the end of this week.

  7. i have a 76 280z that i plan on putting a early 240z bumper on the front and rolling the back. my question is what all do i need, just the bumper and the brackets? and what needs to be cut or drilled to make this work? any pictures would be great..thanks

  8. who cares how many people run a certain set of wheels..

you drive a 30 year old sports car.. I think your unique enough

If you like how it looks.. go for it man. Who gives a crap what other people think

no its not that i have a problme with sportmax's, i like them, i just like these better. but id only get em if i could see them on a car first. i know for a fact the 002's look good.

  9. im in the process of building a 76 280z. and to me it seems like the 280's sit much higher than the 240s in stock form. i will probably buy tokico's, but if im running a 16 rim and say a 225/45/16 tire will i still have have a huge gap between my tire and fender/quarters. any advice is greatly appreciated.thanks
