Just sent him a PM now, thanks for the suggestion! What type of TPS will fit on the throttle body? I think i'm going to change it to the performance body from MSA, so have to have a TPS to fit that one.

No, because it's kind off expensive to call from Norway.. So that's why i resulted in trying to get help from you guys : )

Hi guys! Tried to search on what i needed for a MS swap into my 1977 280z, but didn't find anything useful.. So i went into DIYAutoTune.com and put some things in the cart and took a picture for some answers if i need this things, and/or if i need anything else. Thankful for all help!

It's a 1977 280z with 200c injectors, Crane Cams PS40 coil, K&N air filter in box, 8mm sparkplug wires, Walbro GSL932. Could also be interresting to know it's a California model. The temperature of when im revving can be everything, cold, mild and warm. It's still the same. I'm holding at 4000 for maybe 3-4 seconds and then the car dies, then if i'm trying to start it again i try to crank it one time without a spark, then the second time it starts, but revs up very slowly and suddenly kicks in. Fuel pressure is a place between 32-33psi, haven't gotten any measurements of the sensors. What i mean about 80% power is by full throttle, half throttle seems to be just cruising and it seems kind off fine there, but not quite.
-
Just to start with, i have searched on every different topic i could come up with, none with the exactly same problems. My engine is a kind of On/Off type of engine, sometimes it will work on 80%(never 100%) and sometimes it won't work at all. It seems that maybe some sensors are broken, because im getting the right psi in fuel, with a whole new fuel system(pump, injectors, wires, regulator etc.) I pulled the wire to the TPS and it was all green inside, maybe bad contact? I can hold my throttle and it can rev to about 4000 and suddenly die, with a hard time starting it again. Or i can start it, rev it fine and pull it to about 6000. Have read BRAAP's guide, the EFI bible ++ haven't gotten any answers. Please someone help, have tried for 2 years to get the car running on 100% power.
-
Finally got it running and it was a combo of a broken fuel pump and a broken/corroded TPS, so i bought a Walbro GSL 932 fuel pump and disconnected the TPS and it ran like a whole new car! Not on 100% yet, but close to 80-85% power.

Looks almost like the 903 Blue from the early 240z! Not sure tho, but looks close

I have aftermarket injectors yes, bought them from OsideTiger Have not ran a full test on pressure, but im going to now! Recently bought a pressure regulator from Black Dragon, but haven't received it and they have not contacted me in any way, so im not sure what they are doing..

The car has never run on full power, my old afm has never worked and i have never gotten the car past 3500 revs Have runned it with the old afm and it don't backfire, but it won't let the engine rev or let it get full power, kinda like a preset from Nissan that if the afm breakes it can drive home, but not on full power
-
It's a '77 280z The reason i was buying the afm was that i didn't find any 601.. but it openes and works fine so it shouldn't be a problem then?
-
I have brand new injectors, 200cc, with new wires Now the car will start, but backfires like crazy and sounds a little down on power
-
Hi everybody Should start with saying that i did a search and didn't come up with something similar I bought a new afm recently beacause mine was a wreck, the number was A31-625-000 and my ECU has the number A31-601-000 The car started fine and ran good on idle and revving the engine, backfired a little, but not much. Then all off a sudden the revs just went down and the car died, now it won't start at all! I checked all plugs and they got a spark, the fuel pump works and sends plenty of fuel, and i have changed almost every sensor/wires on the engine.. Any wild guesses or ideas?

Hi guys! Im just thinking out my paint/rim scheme and was just wondering what you guys think : ) Planning on painting my '77 280z in a 903 Blue 240z colour with RAYS GT-C 17x7 rims in silver. Also planning on shaving the rear and going for a 240z frontbumper with an aftermarket air dam from Motorsport Auto. Could this be pulled off in the right way you think? Or should i go a different direction? Thanks for all your opinions, and i'll trow in some pics of the different ideas

Rota Slipstream, will they fit?

What offset would you recommend? But i am also thinking of some other rims, maybe the Watanabe's, König Rewind or some other one's. Feel free to help me make a choice -

Yeah sorry, forgot that! It's gonna go on a S30, with the size of either 16x7 or 17x7.5 with 40 offset. -
Hi, im choosing my rims now. And i came across a couple of Rota Slipstreams and was wondering if they would fit and if anyone have them installed on they're car so i could see how they looked. Didn't find anything on hybridz search or google, so i felt like i had to make a thread. Thanks for all your help!

Yeah i have seen a set in green, and it looks awfully like the original green color. So go for it if you want a original look!

What color are those gauges? The cobalt blue or just the blue? I just love that color blue.
