sorry to have been confusing???? the 4:11 r200 i paid 750$ for is an LSD...... but the snubs that came with the rearend are not installed, someone told me one side is shorter than the other? witch one goes on what side if anyone would know please? i have seen a 4:11 open (non LSD) r200 on ebay go for 100 bucks or so.

i paid 750$ last summer for a long nose r200 4:11 from a guy who paid 1100$ for it from JMD, then 2 weeks later i bought a 3:70 LSD from a guy here in the states for 500$ out of a z31 car. i was told the 4:11 LSD was from a skyline but will fit the s30, on the out side they both look the same so i am not sure what the 4:11 is out of? but it is the long nose r200 for sure. anyone have any info on that?

i found a pic of this z32 trans with a shifter on it. i see, it has a bracket to mount the shifter so if i use the box/plate postion for the shifter it would exit somewhere around the volume knob for the radio on my 240z. i am not sure how well that would work for me? thanks for taking the time to measure that for me!

i would be ok with the z32 trans, just need something that will work. i assume you used the shifter from the z32? i cannot find a z32 trans with the shifter for some reason. from what i have seen this shifter does not mount in the pod/opening/box where i would think a shifter would go? it has some kind of linkage that exits out the rear of the shifter mounting pod/box with a cover/plate on the opening (top) of box? am i wrong on this? sorry, still working on my learning curve for these things...... i have been waiting for 2 month for a supplier to get me a RB25 trans from canada but he has not come across one as of yet? but either trans would work i guess. thanks

would anyone have a picture of the transfer case being reomved and with the plate on it? thanks

yea, you are right, about 1.5 billion pounds. but would it work? with the z32 trans is the shifter an issue? i never see this trans with a shifter?

Hello Has anyone ever tried to run the RB26DETT AWD trans With the front drive shaft disabled or removed in a RWD application? I have read different ways to disable the front wheel Drive when installed in the GTR skyline’s. so the trans And ecu must allow for this? But has anyone ever done this or better yet has anyone ever done this in a s30 RB26DETT swap?

i need a trans for my RB26DETT, i am considering the z32 5speed and i think i understand the whole conversion but what is up with the shifter on the z32? from pic's i have seen there is a plate on the shifter access point/box/hole (on the tail housing) and some kind of linkage sticking out the back of the shifter box/housing? what does everybody else do with/about this?

thanks, yes my concerns were clearance side and bottom of the motor. it would be just too sweet to have it drop right in.... WG
