nice man

This is shouji-san's client car. My last conversation with Shouji-san states that there are Kameari Engine Works parts on this car. Kameari had made big numbers in the past, so I wouldnt doubt if it made that power.
Star Road Japan is one of the best restoration shops in Japan, maybe the world.

Final stages of the fitting process!

Nice man!

If you have access to ordering from kakimoto, this exhaust is badass and bolts in. I used it in my original rb set. It was easier to modify a pre built exhaust vs building a custom one. Kinda pricy at 900 US but if you are going to have someone make an exhaust for you this may be cheaper. I'm considering this route myself when i upgrade my current exhaust.

I believe the kameari header has the same header flange that the kakimoto exhaust has. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/76006-kameari-exhaust-stainless-header/
The kakimoto JDM header will not fit USM cars.

I'm not quite sure if that will fit the Kameari header. The Drag header comes in 45 and 48mm the flange is a straight cut that flows under the firewall. If the exhaust is straight then maybe, also the Kameari is divided pipes. Depending on the length of the kakimoto exhaust it could either be too long or too short. Japanese headers are different legnths depending on brand.

^ The Tein stuff is not bad considering its regular price point. This one on the other hand is expensive since it is a made-to-order part. Tein at least does some R&D (rally, time attack, street cars)
IMHO the bad stuff is the Megan racing stuff everyone is shoving into their S30s.
-
Actually 1,5xx.xx, I'm pretty sure I'm doing my math right??
http://www.rhdjapan.com/kameari-canister-drag-muffler-80-stainless-exhaust-s30-s31-s130-58157
yea thats about right. Kameari stuff is great!
other companies include kakimoto, kameari, RS START etc.
-
really nice setup!
-
I really like the kameari mufflers. Anyone know of a muffler that looks the similar w/o the 1k price tag?
(not mine, this looks like kameari but not sure)
Gotta pay to play man.
-
Since we have been talking about japanese coilovers, I remembered that rs-start also made some.
Theirs I believe use ohlins coilover parts so maybe worth the price?
http://www.rsstart.com/page.cgi?k=3
It would be worth it if you had a S30 fully worked. Those Ohlins cost more than a good conditon S30 lol.
I do prefer the bolt-on specific S30 applications rather than the modified stuff.
I will probably be using the Star Road coilovers, as I know the owner. And the price is correct for the set on the site but it does not include the spindles. He can include it as an option.
-
Nice combo!
What harness bar is that? Looks great with the brides.
-
Mine rusted at the springs and siezed up. It was for a 06 STi.
Star road japan has a set of coilovers for the same price as the tein. No experience with them.
-
^ they have been making coilovers for S30 for a while now. Just all custom order stuff. Most of the Rocky Auto cars run Aragosta suspension.
-
The aragosta unit is close to 5000 US.
Tein is around 3000 US but I find their products inferior for the price you pay for custom coilovers. Teins have a tendency to rust quickly and their normal coilovers cost much less.

I'm running the Fujitsubo Legalis-R. Actually, a few of us on this board are.
-
circuit soul?
-
Not a Fujitsubo Exhaust, maybe just the muffler as DeLorean said. The Fujitsubo is twin pipes all the way back. Absolutely beautiful car!
Glenn is correct, that is not a Fujitsubo exhaust. On a side note Glenn, we need to change up our exhausts. They are becoming "common" now hahah
-
^ that's the aragosta coilover for the S30.
-
I think I've actually seen these in person. Back in 2005, Whitehead Performance in Toronto acquired a 240Z racecar from Japan that had been crashed and sadly left outside to rot. They kept the interesting pieces. I took some pictures, including these shots of the brakes...
NIgel
I wonder if they still have it?
-
Not a very good picture, but I still like it.
Work Meister CR01?
-
You also have to remember that to use the momo hub and nardi wheel that you need a "momo to nardi" spacer. The bolt patterns are different on the wheel and the adaptor.
-
^ another option is recaro brackets. great build BTW
-
I modified some corbeau ones to work but yes its lower than stock. Nothing a few shims in a 240z cant fix. The headrest is taller than the oem seat so you cant get a whole lot more, but i have mine shimmed to about oem height.fitting a roll bar is gonna be more interesting now though. Will probably have to bend it backwards and kinda follow the wheel well some.
Bride Japan makes a seat bracket for the S30. Maybe that will help the seat sit better.
-
check out bingo sports japan website. they have a few S30s with harness strapped to the strut tower bar.
-
Anyone with Recaro SPG buckets in a Z?

nice prodrive seats!
You can also use Bride seat rails. That should solve the offset of the seat.
