  1. I am rebuilding an l28 n42 block. I just stripped it down and was getting ready to order all parts and the main bearings are 2 different sizes and the thrust a third size. Is this normal? I ask cause all I see to order are kits of the same size. Also I have standard, .014 and the thrust is .012 all the bearings I find are standard .01 and .02, is there some where I can get the .014-.012 or do I have to choose .01? For st engine rebuild in 15 years sorry for the questions and thanks for any help
  2. Been out of town, finally tried some stuff. Coolant switch unplug did not change anything, new fuel system everything. Did fsm ecu plug test and afm pins 6-8, 6-27, 8-7 didn't ohm out, I assumed afm may be bad. ran afm resistance test off the car and on the car, and all ohm numbers are good. Checked individual wires for continuity and all checked good.Is the afm bad?
  3. Tried the throttle screw test, the engine doesn't cut off nor can I find any leaks. May try the potentiometer just need time.
  4. Haven't found any leaks. I'll try throttle screw , am I primarily listening for leaks around vac hoses?
  5. Hello, I'm struggling to get my l28 running properly. Cranks and warms up well, but once at operating temp it stumbles under load almost like in a limp mode or something. Recently replaced injectors, injector plugs, rebuilt distributor, coil, coolant temp switch, fuel rail. Connections all appear to be secure. Removed coolant bypass system. Played with timing seemed to help at first but once at operating temp makes no difference, will rev but under load it stumbles and struggles. Any help would be great, thanks in advance
  6. I know the fpr I have is an efi bypass fpr, thanks for your help
  7. so if I'm looking at it right, on my new setup I would come from tank to one end of rail then out the other to the fpr and then return to tank from fpr?
  8. its a 76 280, stock with some stuff removed here and there from previous owner best I can tell
  9. does the fuel line from tank got to fpr the rail or rail to fpr(which seems backwards to me, but I'm ignorant to the subject)
  10. hello, first off I'm a newbie to z cars and to hybrid. I tried to find some info but have been unsuccessful. I recently purchased a pallnet fuel rail and a new aeromotive fpr, and I'm unsure of how to plumb everything together. do I feed to fpr then rail then return from other end of rail? I ask because there is a bypass on the fpr is that the return line? or is the rail supposed to be dual feed or loop like the stock setup? thanks for any help
