  1. I need a 82 or 83 turbo 280zx dizzy with or without the oil pump shaft.
  2. I'm using the stock 83 turbo distributor and driving the coil directly with msII.
  3. Well I'm back with another question sooner than I thought I'd be. I got the car to idle smoothly. I used Cygnusx1's maps (the first set of maps listed before EDIS)to start with because his setup was similar to mine. The car will idle all day long and runs smoothly above about 2300rpm. Between about 2200-2300rpm it stumbles quite badly. The timing light shows misfires on all wires including the coil wire while the car is stumbling at this range. I tried using fixed timing just to see if that changed anything but it had no effect. All my maps match those of Cygnusx1's post exactly and none of the numbers look out of place to me. I fouled a set of plugs while first getting the car to run but have since replaced them after I got the injectors and required fuel set to the right parameters. I'm puzzled as to why this small rpm range is the only affected range. Any input will be appreciated. thanks
  4. I have excellent news gentlemen. The resistor worked and the car now idles. Now its down to the fine tuning. Thanks for the assistance. I'm sure I'll have more questions about it in the near future.
  5. Yes I'm getting a tach signal on the stim. I don't have a resistor on the signal wire, however.
  6. Here's my current setup: 81 NA motor, t3 turbo, 83zxt distributor, supra 440cc injectors, MSII with 2.1 extra firmware. I have everything wired up and ready to go(well, almost). The temp sensors and tps work fine but I can't get the distributor to register with the computer. I have it wired red-hot, black-ground, white-MS trigger(IGN wire on DIY's harness). I'm attempting to use the direct coil driver and installed the necessary jumpers. If anyone knows how i can test the outgoing signal from the hall sensor that would be great. It gives a grounded 12v reading until one of the six trigger slots lines up with the sensor, then it drops to .35v grounded. I'm not sure what value I should be getting. Under ignition settings in megatune I have it set to basic trigger(it gives options for basic trigger, trigger return, EDIS, etc.) I tried removing the distributor and and turning the shaft with a drill motor and I couldn't get an rpm signal in megatune. None of the led's come on either when I rotate the shaft. Any advice would be great. Thanks
  7. Here are some shots of the car after I painted her last summer and fabbed a front valence out of sheet aluminum. The car is undergoing a motor swap/turbo install. I rebuilt the stock F54/P79 and coupled it with a 240sx transmission. I am using a t3 turbo out of a stock 83 280zxt. The fuel and Ignition will be controlled via Megasquirt. I'll post more pictures as the project progresses. I just sat the motor in the car last week. http://img6.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=036doq.jpg
  8. I need a set of 440cc injectors with clips and a turbo distributor with oil pump!
  9. that appears to be the manifold but I believe my carb is a newer model. I may try it with a turbo just to see what happens. I've got an EFI intake on standby.
  10. Thanks for the info guys. Do yall know of anyone who has/is running this intake? I'm considering either using a turbo or raising the compression via F54 flat top/N47. I'm wondering if it is suitable for either of these applications. I also have the stock fuel injected intake for the N47 which is a possibility if i use larger injectors, etc. I don't know if the single carb can handle the fuel requirements of large amounts of boost or compression.
  11. Do you happen to know what vehicle it supposedly came on?
  12. Here's the manifold. I took this with my phone in the dark, hence the flashlight glare.
  13. The previous owner installed a 2 barrel weber on a cast aluminum manifold that I've never seen. The intake has no casting number or name. I can post a picture later but wanted to see if anyone has seen this sort of setup.
