  1. I have one in Alabama I pulled from a 76 280z, but still a good little drive down here.
  2. Ok, I'm sure this has been discussed before but I can't seem to get the fuel pump to work after the lq4 swap. I'm running a carb and I'm replacing the pump with a Mallory 110 this week. I think ive read something about the oil pressure switch wired into the fuel pump as a saftey? If someone could point me to the right post i would greatly appreciate it. Or should I just start over and run my own wires to the new pump?
  3. I guess that's my problem. I have a shed full of parts from past and current projects and really don't have room for much more. I'm a bit of an automotive hoarder! I don't want to get rid of something and then kick myself for not keeping it. I have 3 engines, 2 trannys, window motors for a car I never even owned, a set of shocks, 5 sets of factory rims and the list goes on! But I can't help but think one day someone will need a radiator for a 1951 Chevy truck or the left side emblem from a 60 something impala! maybe even the gas tank from a 1984 Mitsubishi montero? It will be mostly a street driven toy with the occasional trip to the local 1/8th mile strip. As long as it runs and has the basic necessities I'm good.
  4. Having trouble with my post, but my question is what can I delete under the hood that's not needed? Canisters, wires, etc.? I'm running an automatic so I know the clutch components are not needed. Want to make it as clean as possible.
  5. I just ordered an f-body oil pan for mine. From what I've read it should give good clearance. I went with Jci mounts myself. Price wise I really wanted to go with dirty dingo mounts but not enough info for me to be happy with. Have to say I'm glad I did! John is easy to deal with, answered emails fairly quick, and no problem answering any questions. Shipped them out Tuesday and showed up here in t-town Thursday. If only the local parts houses had that kind of service my job would be a lot easier!
  6. That would be great zspeed22, since i plan on going turbo after I get the bugs worked out. Keep me posted. I can use all the info I can get!
  7. Thanks! That's what i get for not paying attention. Guess I over looked that one. Nice thread, and Pretty solid info all around. Jci was my first choice as well but for the price of the dingo mounts, I can't help but consider it an option. Just don't want to kick myself later when I start on exhaust and wish I had more room around the steering. I'll have to dig a little deeper on the header choices and read up some more before I make a choice.
  8. I'm in the process of collecting parts for the lq4 swap. I was wondering if anyone here has used the dirty dingo mounts? Any header suggestions? I plan on auto 350/400, and carb fed. Trying to get my ducks in a row since I will be doing the swap at the shop where I work and would like to get the engine and Trans dropped in as quick as possible due to lack of room. I can roll it in and out of the shop while i hook up everything else a little at a time. Doing some research first and I see a lot about the jci and jtr mounts but not much on the dingo mounts. Ive learned a lot on this forum, but any thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.
