  1. Let me just say, I am really against the whole "Flush" movement, yet I saw your car and went DAMN. I really like that car. It looks great. Actually looks functional, and you don't have some bonkers stretch that looks dumb. :Thumbs up:
  2. Wow, I didn't realize who this was, and I had no idea that was even the same car! It looks great man! I am glad you got it together. Still got Big Red?
  3. I would likely be interested. I wouldn't mind a nice Datsun jacket.
  4. Are these going to be roughly the same price as the SR20DET wheels? If so that's awesome!
  5. Do you have travel issues? With so much drop I would be worried about bottoming out the shocks if your struts aren't sectioned.
  6. That isn't true. You can get replacement quarters and rebuild the inner wells. I don't see why you couldn't. Takes more skill going back to stock than it does to flares, but if you have the dedication then it can be done.
  7. I've been watching this build and anxiously I look pretty much every day for updates. I am so glad you take so many photos, I just love it, its amazing. Car porn is way better than real porn any day.
  8. I wasn't really saying it was going to have any problems with braking power. Just to clarify, I was just saying, if it was designed to run only two calipers, and you are running 4, then it is going to push more fluid, therefore the holding tank would need to be larger so you don't run out of fluid through the full brake stroke. I'm aware that it would work just fine with a T out of the lines, as I stated, the sprint car my family runs uses a Wilwood single outlet master cylinder, a 1" with no booster. I realize that there really isn't an issue with using either of these kits as long as you are willing to put the work in to making them fit properly and depending upon what use your car is getting.
  9. Am I the only one who doesn't see this crease? Also, review the pictures, there is an order ticket for cruise control and air conditioning.
  10. I didn't ever know of such a thing. On the other hand, is it wrong that I look at that and say "Boy would that be a fun project." I mean, 240z bumpers and make the decal work fit with them. Then just a very clean, done right, turbo swap. Clean up all the wiring and stuff, and megasquirt. No half done crap jobs, and it would be a real awesome car!
  11. I'll post this on the local car forums here in town.
  12. Where at? I couldn't seem to find it? Deleting the rear brakes, you would do this why? Also, you can run brakes on one circuit. Out sprint car is a dirt oval car, two calipers, one front, one rear, we did have it set up with the rear inboard and an extra outboard right brake to help set it into the corners, but its was too much brake and cutting the engine off. You could adapted it to work with all 4 calipers, but it would likely be too small with a single camber and you would run out of fluid to push to the brakes.
  13. I registered my 240z with no dash or door plate.
  14. bummer, maybe we should boycott rbr's in protest.
  15. Epic link. Explained just about every problem I have with my z windows. I'm going to try it out. I fought over and over to fix my passenger window and now it works great, but its still kinda sloppy and was more than a fight to get it to crank smoothly. The drivers window could use work too. Hopefully this works. I think a large battle is the old metal and car and everything is kinda warped and not perfectly straight so it makes things hard to align.
  16. Being a person on my second engine. I took one from a good running car that I had. 130k on the engine already. It didn't last another 500 miles. I didn't do anything. The second engine was an F54/P79 with unknown miles, that had be on a stand in a garage for over 2 years. In a car on the side of the road for at least 2 more. It hadn't been touched. It lasted almost 3,000 miles. It is probably in your best interest to just go through and rebuild it. EDIT: Keep in mind, I drive the dog **** out of my car, I rev it probably way to high, and for extended periods of time, picture road racing, that is how my engine is treated.
  17. Unless you are running coil overs you will certainly be into the struts on an S30, maybe still with coil overs, although much less likely.
  18. In my opinion not much. Mine had hairlines in it. A day in the sun, done for.
  19. I've got a 6-2-1 pacesetter header if you want it. For a round port head. Came off an F54/p90 (82-83 N/A) engine. Don't think its been run, if so, very little. Kinda rusty, but usable. I hit it with a wire wheel. =P Get Mega squirt. Cheap, it will let you tune it for the best efficiency and power. Also I would agree, stock cam is a large limit to the power band.
  20. Let me get this straight. This means, you can run coil packs using this in your distributor?
  21. It is most likely your main fuel injection relay. Its a little NLA $125 dollar junky relay. I found one used on ebay for $25 dollars when mine went out, I was having the same issue. Trace your power into and out of the relay. The FSM is your friend, it will take some time, I traced all over the place before I figured it out. It plugs into the harness with two plugs, a black and white box connector.
  22. If you aren't getting coil spark then it is most likely going to be your coil or something farther back.
  23. Strange, I didn't know they made 260z's in 1975 in the US, I also didn't know that they came with a 2.4 L4, really interesting to learn this. Probably kinda sketchy, I agree with BluDestiny, heard good things about the ebay champion ones.
