  3. where can i find a good deal on balenced and ready forged pistons for my turbo engine zcarparts and racetep have them but they are a bit highly priced i think please advice me
  4. i got a T3/T04E stage 7 from a friend and i also got an hks intercooler not sure of the size but its damn big i think its too big for the Z i might trad it with something a bit smaller
  5. well just a minor porting nothing too deep the engine is still sitting on the stand i spend 4 hours a day working on it. about the turbo and intercooler i am still waiting for it to arrive
  6. hey guys i baught a 240z last year for my younger bro and he got crazy about it. he loves everything about his Z, we just finished almost everything in it brand new paint job and interior 0% rust on it but what it lacks is power! L28 dual carbs and high comp 150rwhp isnt enough... anyways i got an L28 turbo with my setup how much power do you think it will make -- turbo and an intercooler -- forged pistons and rod bigger bore 3.0 -- 60mm TB we dont have 240sx but we have plenty of the old nissan 2.4 trucks in junk yardsi hope they fit -- bigger injecters -- i ported the intake mainfold a little bit -- a friend is doing a 3 angle valve job i dont know why but sounds cool i dont plan on going above 20PSI what turbo i should get i want to make max 300rwhp but maybe more later and how much PSI can the engine handl
  7. guys i just finished rebuilding my Z it has an elec fan and now it over heats all the time and when i turn the lights on it over heats faster oh yeah and another thing sometimes my speedometer hits 160 while the gear is not even shifted i think i have an electrical problem help me out please i think the fan is not getting enough power for some reason oh and just so you know there is no belt fan

  9. thanks for the info since you are from Australia do you guys ever try playing with the nissan patrol engine the 4.8 inline 6 that would be a one hell of an engine to use on a z
  10. guys what is the largest wheel to fit on a 240z 1973 with out any mods do you think 17x7 will fit and whats the back spacing i need to fit a 17x7 on my z thanks alot guys

  12. hey guys few months ago i baught a 240z for my brother it has an L28 engine its slightly modified SU carbs, not sure what cam but not stock and high comp pistons, we dynoed the z it made 150 RWHP anyways he called me last night and said he knows a guy who can make his car get up to 220 RWHP by putting in a cam and changing the head, i know this can never happen but if anyone can prove me wrong please tell me and just for your info this guy know nothing about Z cars all he knows about is mustangs with 4.6
  13. well the reason i dont know if my car is a GT or a GTR is because i still havnt seen it i am still in the states and the car is in kuwait and about the swap i will do my best with it but if i had a problem which i am sure i will i have a good friend who will be helping me and we will be working on it with other friends so i am sure it wont take that long and i am hoping to get it all done by next fall the other good thing is we have lots and lots of good parts in junk yards you guys wont even belive what you can find over there and they dont cost a thing to get them
  14. hey guys my brother just got his 240z from a dyno test anyways his car has an l28 with SU carbs and not sure about what piston and cam but i dont think its stock cuase the z is very high comp before he had it tuned it was 114 hp and air/fuel was 16:1 after tuning he got 150 hp and air/fuel is 13:1 so what do you guys think is that good enough for an NA engine or is 150 hp good for that kind of setup
  15. to make it clear its a 1970 skyline GT i am not sure if the engine is an L20 or S20 but i thought they only came in an S20 i still havnt seen the car its parked back home waiting for me to finish school and go back i made a deal with my brother to buy me one if i buy him a 240z from the states which i did and it just arrived to kuwait, we have lots of GT's but too bad we dotn have many of the newer ones and as for the Z's its kinda hard to find since not many people got them and they coast alot we have lots of zx though but no Z's and as for the GT i just hope i can find a bolt on engine cause i dont want to spend alot of time working on it
  16. well its a 1970 skyline and it has the 2.0 straight 6 with a 5 speed on it i want to keep the original look of the car i just want to make it faster so my question is what is easier to do put in an RB engine or an l28 turbo engine on it
  17. guys have you ever seen this engine it came on the skyline in the 70's anyways i am doing a research on skyline and want to replace this engine whats a good replacment should i put in an RB engine or a l28 engine whta do you think would be less trouble and which one has similar engine mount

  19. yep but to sell more you dont want to name it commedor in the mid east since they love the caprice so we have them in lumina and caprice they come standerd and S and SS but there isnt a big different in price and hmm i guess you all know about gas prices over people always get the SS damn the gas price these days over here in oregon..you guys have no idea how much i learnd just by living here now i have all these crazy ideas about engine swaping in Z's and over there engines are so cheap in junk yards... you all should go to kuwait and check the junk yards heheheh its crazy you would see 2004 cars over there and you would find some clean stuff and the price is always right
  20. you guessed wrong i was born and raised in kuwait but i have been in oregon for the past 6 years. we do have the patrol in left hand steering. but we do get some other cars that you wont find here. if you think the patrol is nice get ahold of the lumina SS a small 4 door sedan with an LS1 engine and yes rear wheel drive for less than 25,000$ you guys should ship some of these cars over here you can make alot of money. the good thing abotu those is they have the same price as a honda but who needs a honda when you have a 320 hp muscle car
  21. you should try them then they drive better than they look. especialy off roading its the best SUV i ever driven and the engine is great it used to be a 4.5 but it wasnt as powerfull as the 4.8 ..i am gona try and see if it will fit or not its a huge engine but i hope it works.. i wont be dealing with it untill i finish my brothers car first then comes my project. what i also like it the gas tanks it has 2 big ones you can drive this SUV for 15 hours with out stopping
  22. hi guys have you ever seen an engine like this before it comes on the nissan patrol it has 280 hp and torque is more than 320 you can check it out at http://www.nissan-me.com/patrol/patrol_specifications_station.htm there is a garage that put a turbo on this engine and with only 5 psi of boost the engine came up with 400hp and tq about 450 http://www.gulfautomart.com/workshopnissanpatrol4.8.shtml and by the way if you wana see a supercharged car with a twin turbo they are building it right now
  23. i tried looking for it couldnt find it. i am going to san deigo soon to buy a Z with a rad leak on it. do you know any good garage around there and how much is thar rad and how much does it cost to instal it

  25. hi guys i have been looking around and prices for an aluminum radiator are from 350-450 and i also found the summit racing have them for less than 190$ do you guys think it would be easy to put the ones from summit in a 240z and what would i need to do to make it right
