  1. @MaritimeRiceburn: Another possibility, but I thought ALL fenders for 240s, 260s, 280s are exactly the same
  2. @theczechone: Yeah, I can take a closer look at the valance corner pieces...but they don't look modified. The creases look factory OEM front and back. That's why I'm confused..
  3. My car is a 72 240z. The valance was obtained from another 240z built 12/70 (I took it straight off of the car, and it lined up perfectly with the fenders on that car). The fenders I got at another time from a different seller (no idea from which car). I understand ALL fenders among 240s, 260s, 280s are interchangeable. So STILL confused here @_@ I agree with ritrebor in that only 2 different valences were made: - 1 for 240z+early 260z with light pockets - 1 for late 260z+280z without light pockets Thanks for your input thus far..
  4. Don't have dimensions on me. Wish I had them. The car is at a shop that is a bit far from me. I really can't put a finger on the explanation though..looks like the valence corner is not long enough but it clearly has the same form of an OEM 240 one. When I purchased it I removed it straight from a 240. I didn't study the donor car too much though..
  5. Hi, thanks for your reply. It looks like I have the 240 one, so any idea why the fitment issue in my pictures?
  6. Hi fellow Z enthusiasts. So I messed up somewhere along the way, but the 3-piece valance set I bought a while back for my 73 240z is not fitting flush with the fenders (please see pictures attached). Were there different dimensions on these?? Maybe the guy who sold them to me said they were for a 240 but they are actually for a 260? Confused here. Just want to know what went wrong. Thanks in advance
  7. z240, Thank you for your input sir. I will be getting both aftermarket and original belts. I want to respect the original design and at least have the OEM ones handy, but my intention is to keep the modern ones in. Just want to be sure I'm investing in the right parts.
  8. Are the shoulder belts on ALL 240z cars (early and later 70-73) the same? Or is the pin that attaches to the lap belt different? Really tricky to get reliable pictures of the two. Thank you!!
  9. Thank you for your replies. I will look into getting better aftermarket seat belts. But I am still interested in the original belts for aesthetic/restoration reasons, so it would be great to know how the shoulder belt fits together with the retractable lap belt and rigid connector. Thanks again.
  10. Hey Z buddies, I have a 72 240z and I'm trying to buy the OEM seatbelts for it. The following is based on my assessment of PICTURES of belts that I've seen for sale. I noticed that 240s have two different styles of seat belts. In the earlier style, the receiver (with the "Z" on it) is a limp belt and the non-retractable lap belt has some holes in it for the shoulder belt to latch on to. In the later style, the receiver is a rigid component and the retractable lap belt does NOT seem to have any holes in it for the shoulder belt to latch on to. I am interested in the later style with BOTH lap belt and shoulder belt. But I'm not sure how the shoulder belt latches onto the lap belt because there are no holes in it. Maybe there was in fact no shoulder belt for that lap belt? Any insight would be greatly appreciated, PICTURES would be perfect.
