Not to add gas to the fire but you missed a great engine. The KA is another great engine that can be found cheap. There ate tons of 240sx in junk yard eith great running engines. I got mine for $150 that was engine complete engine wire haRness and ecu from a friend with an sr swap. I got the 5speed trajny from the local you pull it junk yard for $75 and I geT 25back as a core. Its a 2.4l and can be turboed and parts are easy to find. Its mounts the same as the sr. But can cost less than half the pric. Got ka-t.org

Any one have a how to or the specs on making the mount/ cradle for the engine?

Another question I have no issue at all building the cradle mount as far as the work side goes. But does anyone one know of or have a diagram or blue print for the cradle?

First off I'm need to this site and I love all the useful info that I have found. I own my own performance co, but we normally work on honda's and later model imports, so I'm not new to the sport just new to older nissan's. I've used the search feature but can't find any real info on how to and what to use far a KA swap into the s30. I've seen mckinney's and others that make kits for the sr and to my knowledge the ka mounts in the exact same place. But I'm not sure if these kits will work. I am capable of fabrication, i have plasma cutters and welders etc, but I like the fact that the reasearch has been done. I have a love for the older imports, 510, AE86,240/280z 78 skylines well long story short, a friend found a car that needsd some love $150 I found a KA tranny $79.00 A friend is willing to sale me a DOHC KA engine with a bent valve with wire harness, $150 so I'm looking $380 so far and a long road ahead. Any info such as links to a step by step walk thru for a sr20 install which should be about the same for a KA, I think. OR info on mounts or the wiring work or a part list of all the parts that is required. Thanks !!!! Jules
