    Will a 370z Transmission Fit in a 260z tunnel?

    Ok will do, Thanks!
  2. I have a 1974 Datsun 260z with a 2002 Camaro SS Ls1 Engine in it. I've been searching for a used T-56 and I stumbled upon an ad. The guy has a Collins adapter on his 370z 6 speed transmission with a T-56 bellhousing. It appears this will bolt up to my Ls1 but I'm not sure if it will fit in the transmission tunnel of my Datsun or if the shifter will be in or near the correct spot. Does anyone have any knowledge on this? Thanks!

    My first project car..V8 260z

Hi all this is my first time posting something about my own project other than in comments so hopefully this is the correct spot for this! I picked up a 1974 Datsun 260z a couple of years ago on Craigslist and have only recently moved to a spot with a garage. I purchased it as a partially completed project, the interior in shambles and it had a 4.6 liter DOHC V8 out of a Lincoln mark VIII + T-45 loosely in it. Since then I've pulled out the ford engine and the T45, sold those and picked up a 5.7 liter Ls1 and am currently looking for a T-56. I've pulled the rear diff as well as the suspension, gas tank, front crossmember, steering setup and pretty much have it down to the frame. Here are some photos. I'm planning on running upgraded suspension, reinforcing the frame as well as an 8.8 Rear Diff. Currently trying to figure out wheel setup and 5 lug conversion. Thanks for checking it out!

    Toyota Brakes

I'm currently looking at doing this brake swap for my S30 and I clicked on the link but it was dead! Do you happen to have this info still? I would love to have access to this info as I'm looking at doing a Toyota brake swap into the 260z and you seem to have all the info compiled into one spot which is hard to find
