  1. It’s just a L28 motor with carbuertors in 240z I don’t have efi I said it was backfiring through the carbs there is no efi management system I’m trying to run edis 6 module with a MegaSquirt computer just to control timing advance plus i can’t get the engine to run with edis system to check with timing light I’ll post the setup when I get the engine running
  2. The car runs fine with the 280z distributor installed and you can adjust timing no problem with the distributor and there is no back fire from the carbs with the distributor. I’m 100% I have no mechanical issues I’ll figure it out thanks anyway
  3. I know edis uses coil packs but if you tie the signal wire to 2 companion cylinders on the coil on plug it is still a waste spark ignition
  4. Has anyone done Ford EDIS coil on plug conversion on L series engine ? I set up edis 6 module of 94 explorer , using 98 gord escort trigger wheel and crank sensor with 2005 f150 5.4 coils tied cylinder 1,6 5,2. 3,4 car won’t run it backfires threw the carbs I have the crank sensor mounted on 6 tooth 36 to 1 trigger wheel tdc
