also don't forget the 700r4's cousin the 200r4. These transmissions came out of buicks and in the opinion of many GM guys is a better transmission and has better spaced gears. also, for those of you who didn't know the 700r4 later became the 4l60 and eventually 4l60e. these transmission with the exception of minor changes are all the same unit. if im not mistaken there torrent for a video which ATSG made regarding the workings, rebuild, and tricks to the 700r4. I also have pdf's of the service manuals if anyone is interested.

UPDATE: I decided to try my luck at the autoparts stores and quickly discovered (by lucky guess more than anything) that the air intake temp sensor from a 1987 buick regal (3.8 turbo) works, reads correctly, and is only 15 dollars.

Hey guys, just tried searching my questions but didn't have too much luck so i figured i'd ask. I have a haltech f9 and i was wondering if there is a coolant temp sensor besides the haltech one that i can use. I was hoping to see something along the lines of a sensor i can order from the autoparts store and just pick up. Anyone know any GM sensors that would work? Mine is busted and i'd prefer to go the autozone or advance rather than ordering a haltech sensor online.

Just tried it out with windows xp and had success. What version of dosbox are you running? Try .72 and rewrite the conf file. If anything i'll post a re-written conf file if you need it.

I'm having the same issues but with vista, I followed haltech's instructions to the letter yet it doesn't want to connect. I've got an f9, so i'm in the same DOS boat as you are. I'm using vista with dosbox and a new prolific usb to serial converter on com1. the dosbox config was setup to activate and accept com1, and it should be working but before i start testing wiring connections im going to see if it will work with xp. In the meantime if i manage to find anything i'll keep you posted.

I need a driver's side door window for my 78' 280. I purchased a set from a 260 but it turns it they don't fit. I'm willing to trade or purchase.
