Maybe I missed it somewhere on the site......how is Phlebmaster an admin already? New to the site and new to Z cars itself. I guess he has a pc skill or has lots of time to spend on the forum to be bumped to RED.
Just asking admins............seems to be a lot of new ones of late.
Let me add something else to answer you... This site does not have Business hours, it's open 24 hours a day. To keep this site at the highest level of excellence that we demand required the addition of more "eyes" on this site. This addition was deemed necessary do to the exsisting Admin/Mod having jobs, families, ect. We want around the clock monitoring of the site...Period....and that is the reason for the new Mods....

A member posted this awhile ago and I don't remember who but I like it...
It went something like this...
"My dad told me that if it has tits or wheels on it you will have trouble with it the rest of your life."

Why is this not in the electrical forum?
Good question....

I would suggest some more research to figure out exactly what you're going to need before buying an incomplete setup. Then you won't have any ugly surprises. By the time you buy all the missing pieces, it may not be much of a good deal.

LOL....I suggest before you go worring about parts from the intake up you tell us what you have done to your 355 SBC to make it ready for a roots blower.

A couple suggestions about your thread. This is not a "text messaging" site. Use proper English form when you post. Next read a lot more on this site in the specific forums that you have a question on before you post it.
The answer to your question is in the FAQ Forum linked here...http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=118057

I received my MSA Type III air dam today. The installation instructions are vague. Has anyone install this air dam on a 81-83 280ZX. If so, could you post some better instructions and pics?
There seems to be some confusion in this thread... Did you recieve the Type 3 280ZX Air Dam pictured in this link...http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/7FAD/50-1429.
If you did it's not the same as the other posters are showing and talking about. They are refering to the 240/280Z Type 3 Air Dam. A completely different animal.http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/7AD1/50-1439

Me, I turn up the boost to forget about a few extra pounds.
EXACTLY what I did to my 75 280Z.... went to 10lbs. boost on the roots blower. Get an as rust free shell as you can and plan your build...

Five years on this upgrade to my side pipes with no issues with heat, paint problems, soot, gas fumes or cracked rubber on the tires.
The main issue is ground clearence ( 4 1/2 in.). You need to be very careful with speed bumps , dips in the road, and entrances and exits on roadways.

The intent of it was as an aid in the warming up of the car. In the US most dealers disconnected it due to safety concerns because the only way to reduce rpms with the lever at full throttle was to push it back to idle rpms. It was not controlled by the brake. This was not a cruise control unit, it was a strictly manual lever throttle control.

The left side slot is for the choke lever and the right side slot is for a manual throttle lever.

We have a couple gentlemen working on cleaning up the sold ads and now the original poster in the classifieds can delete his/her own ad at will.
I just finished the whole forum today. I deleted the ones that that were clearly stated. So many of the last post's were PM sent with no follow up so I could not delete them. What further action we will do about the situation will be determined shortly.
