  1. Arg 3 months after placing an order with Motor Sport Aero for a bodykit for my 280zx, they have said that they have sent it. Ok ok i can be patient, but thats a while. Secondly it was going to be expensive from the word go, living in Nz it worked out 1100 dollars just for the front and rear bumpers. But now i have no bodykit, no idea where it is, been charged nearly 1400 dollars, a lot more than i was quoted. (shipping 285) Ahh thats my b*tch and rave off my chest cam
  2. Hey how are you bringing the parts in, are you going over there. Or got contacts, anyway you could hook me up, obviously you can take a fee if you want. Just out of curiousity, worth asking i thought umm thanks cameron
  3. Did you run it using the l20et turbo ecu? What are you running now, what size turbo...custom manifold? im intending to upgrade the turbo and injectors. can we buy any parts here like custom fuel rails, anyone bring anything in from japan, any any info would be great thanks
  4. Ok first it bears mentioning i live in NZ where no l28ets were produced. i have a stock as hell 1980 280zx, with a N42 head and n42 block, it came from japan in 87 if that matters, i also have a l20et. which is a 2 litre turbo l6. Ok what problems am i going to run into by bolting the turbo manifolds of the l20et on the l28, they will fit. Is my compression going to be to high, I am looking at buying a l28 turbo manifold of Ebay, and a p90a head but id rather not if possible. So can i swap it over. What else will i need to change, remember swapping in a l28et is not a option. It costs about the same for one of those for a rb20det $1500. Thanks Cameron
  5. I have read that the l20et can be used to convert the 280zx l28e to a turbo, as the l28et's didnt come to nz i was just wondering if anyone new if this was true or not, ie swapping turbo manifolds etc over
  6. hey, the projects, well going, im just working out the hole weilding upwards with a inch or 2 gap(below the door, car at ground level) gravity is definately not my friend!! Yeah i can get it all for about 2800, and im tryna estimate the cost on evrything else, i reckon itll cost me a nother 3000 dollars (NZ) to get it goin , so 2800 - engine 200 - all piping ( got a mandrel bender, get stainless pipe cheap from mount stainless) 600 - intercooler free - wiring, engine mounts 200 - fuel pump 2000 - misc, p.s i work at a Autoplace so get everything like pumps, gauges cheap as. but yeah that soundz bout rite...its still runing thru my mind, getting a l20et and combining it with my l28, hard to decide...that way i can throw 3-4 grand at that engine....any ideas

    Bodykit

yeah it does have a few holes, but that 600 horsepower L28 would need to breathe i think , mm i dunno i like the bodykit, not so much the wheel arches, but it kinda smooths it out a bit, thats my opinion, so no idea who in japan stocks it......if only i could read japanese ohwell thanks

    Bodykit

hey ill try get a front pic, but any info would be gr9, i live in NZ and i no ppl that go over to Japan, so if i get a name, or a business that makes it, then i can get it, thanks
  10. Hey does anyone no where i can get my hands on this ZX bodykit, admit it, its very nice The Red One is on the overboost website, which sadly since i am not a member i can not read the full article to, its from a guy called Toshi i think, runs speeds of 184 MPH on a 3.1 L28et, serious tuning, he is a member of Midnight Club Racing, so anyone who nos where i can get this kit from, man its nice cameron
  11. Ok my cousin wrote of a GTS25T R33 skyline, theres only body damage, is there anything i want to knick for my RB25DET swap into my 280zx, would the brakes fit, or the gaugues work, anything at all that i should nab off it b4 it goes to the wreckers? thanks cameron
  12. Hey brad would these work for a rb25det swap into a 280zx, if so id like to get some, would you send them to NZ, if would you share the dimensions, obviously if you dont want to thats alright , i completely understand, well i have a plasma cutter and that sorta things, but this looks like its gonna be the most fiddly bit on the entire swap, and i want to make sure i have everything right first, umm yeh pm me please, thanks
  13. yeah sorry i have to admit im not very good with fotoshop so i cant really get the jist across but just look at it then i duno get a picture of a z and of the Astonmartin vantage and i think you can imagin wat im tryin to do, i realise now loooking at it after a nice long sleep your rite, but i still think if it was a lil bit more shaped to the body it could look really good, im not to experienced with stuff like that on photoshop, but as i sed try thinkabout the two cars
  14. [ hey anybody got any reason that i shouldnt create this bodykit, its a Aston Martin Vantage front, i dont think it will be to hard, im goin to try out of aluminuim, failing that....wire mesh and fibreglass, but aluminuim shouldnt be to difficult, anybody seen, or got any pics of Z cars lookin like that, thanks Cameron[/img]
  15. Hey i no there are lotsa of posts on RB25det's but i wanna make sure im up to date with prices, a 1997 RB25DET R33, with a R32 5 Speed but no drive shaft, how much would that cost me? What else do i need to hook it up, (im making custom mounts, 200zr oil sump etc) It has a loom + ecu, but no AFM (air flow meter) , oh yeah this is NZ $ by the way, thanks Cameron p.s does anybody in NZ or Aus make engine mounts or driveshaft mounts, anybody willing to post them to the downunder...NZ?
  16. cool thanks, yeah i think ill just go trial and error , obviously do a little bit of measuring, unless of course anyone has for some peculair reason the measurements for 280zx bushings, umm so if i get the right compound noone thinks ill have to much trouble, with breakage, since im doin it on the lathe.
  17. hey just to say, there is a Z car club in New Zealand http://www.zclub.org.nz the New Zealand Datsun Z Club
  18. ok heres the deal i have a hole workshop full of goodies sitting on the property, my pas engineering business, one brainwave i have last night is this, on the lathe i sumtimes use polyurethane chunks, big round cylinders of it to create wheels and bushings, if i got the right compound would it be worth making my own bushings , for say suspension and sway bars, etc? or since the suspension plays a major part, is it not worth the risk? id really like to try it, since im in NZ parts and shipping are very pricey(in my opinion) if you think itd be to dangerous , please let me no, and why thanks Cameron
