  1. OK guys before any of you write back and say do a search, I have and have only got post from people who have already done the swap, not how! So with that said, I am helping my little brother with his 74 260Z. His car needs a complete brake job, which is the perfect opertunity to upgrade. I have read about putting the Toyota front calipers on these cars, however you can use two different ones depending on which rotor you use. I would like to hear from people who have used both methods, meaning the thin one piece or the 300 vented rotors. Also we would like to put the disc on the rear. I know you can get the first gen Maxima brackets and mount the rear 280ZX calipers and rotors, but can you not just swap everything off of a 280ZX on the rear? The master cylinder will it be strong enough or would the ZX have a better one? I think if someone who knows took the time to explain this and made it a sticky it would benifit everyone. No one would ask anymore and no one would have to reply Thanks for any help.
  2. O.k. Since nobody has ever swaped an automatic tranny into a 5 speed can you tell me this: Other than the bell housing, Will a B/W tranny out of a 280 turbo work in a 84 300ZXT? Thanks JOSH
  3. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey guys first post for me. I have an 84 300ZXT 5speed that sees alot of blast down the 1/8th. This car doesent get drove on the street very much(only too the track and back). My B/W tranny has seen better days and with drag racing I feel an auto is a better route. I have a turbo automatic avaliable to me, the question I have is what has to changed. Will the ECU I have work or will I have to get one from an auto, also wiring will it work. The other thing is can I put a performance shifter(B&M, Hurst,ect) on the nissan auto? Any insite will be appreciated. Thanks Josh
