  1. My first car was a '69 Mach 1 i picked up when i was in highschool, always loved muscle cars till i bought my 2001 Spyder off of my father and loved how they handled compared to the old mustang haha, then i got into liking imports and my dad kept trying to convince me into getting a Z but at the time, I hated his 280Z 2+2 that he's getting a chevy 350 dropped into, and i got a 240SX. I really missed the classic car look compared to my 240SX, then one day checkin the web I found the Super Street article titled Original Gangsta' featuring Shaw Takahashi's 1970 Datsun 240Z, after I checked out that car, I sold my 240SX and picked up a 1974 Datsun 260Z, drove it the hundred miles back to Kingman no prob then blew my rings after a week haha. Still got mad love for the car and I plan on keepin it forevor.

  3. Hi guys, I have been lookin around on the forums for a couple months now and I really couldn't find a whole lot of info on this swap. I originally planned on doing a 7MGTE swap for my Datsun and after I bought some pistons and rings for the motor, I found a built Vortec V6 that the guy had lying around. His father used it in his Mk.III Supra with a Toyota W58 transmission utilizing a bellhouse adapter. I ended up trading the 7MGTE for the Vortec and 5 speed motorset on account of it already having about 280hp with a little more tq, and most of all I was hoping to achieve a better weight distribution when compared to the 7M and maybe the L26. I was wondering if anyone has accomplished a project such as this. I did find one thread similar but it ended up dying out. So basically I'm looking for any tips or advice anyone can provide for something like this. Thank you in advance guys.
