I plan on using a V3.0 board. Can the mechanical advance be locked out w/ some JB Weld on the advance slots in the dizzy?

Hey all, On the MSnS Installation Guide (http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=88246) under "Variable Reluctor Distributor" it seems to suggest the stock '79 VR distributor may be used to trigger MSnS. Am I right in thinking this? If so, when using Direct Coil Control (IGBT) can the schematic be modified to use only one GM HEI (connected to the magnetic pickup) to trigger MSnS? I'm trying to avoid having to buy an '82/'83 dizzy/shaft with the CAS just to get it working. Thanks for the info.
