  1. cool, any other information, links would be helpfull also please thanks
  2. Hey guys I need some brainstorming about a 77 Corolla. My buddy has one and I'm thinking about doing a 350 swap for him in it. Anyone have any hints or information about them?
  3. I'm not for sure yet (still debating on keeping her or not) all original 73 240Z; The car has on it, the original hubcaps/steel wheels, jack, handle, manual, engine, trans, diff ect.. The car is in amazing condition. Must come see for real impression. Since I purchased the car, I have put the MSA 6-2-1 Header and 2.5'' Header back exhaust to a single chamber flowmaster (sounds awesome) all new gaskets, hangers. Put taller and widder aluminum wheels with the appropriate tires. Had everything checked and doubble checked. The only thing the car is missing is the choke cable. Not sure about the radio either would like maybe a Z expert in the area to come check her out and let me know really how much she is worth. To anyone who knows there history of the Gulf War, Cliff Acree ring a bell? If not check this out http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1574881590/qid=1124920718/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/102-2192388-1964133?v=glance&s=books&n=507846 It was his car and he sold it to me as his baby telling me that I better take car of her which I did and kept her in good shape. But I need to let go of it to the right person if you guys know what I mean. It has very much sentimental value to me. If anyone locally wants to come look at it you are welcome to call my cellphone - 760-803-9881 The Car is in Carlsbad, CA currently. But I work in San Marcos and can get it to either location easy. Thanks in advance.

Why do I love Z cars?

    This is why
  7. Thanks guys (sent you a pm hanomon) Yeah the moment I started reading here about this (about 4 months ago) I knew I hit a gold mine of information, since then I bought my Z and have been researching, reading and working on my Z like crazy.
  8. Hey guys, how do the stock rear ends in the 240s hold up to the ammount of horsepower and torque applied by the v8? that and suspension parts aka bushings, stuff like that. I just wanted to gather as much information as possible before I attempt to do this conversion. Thanks in advace, - Gavin
  9. thanks guys for the information. I just pulled the driveline out of the Z tonight and shes gonna get all the little underside rust that you cant see with the car on the ground and with the driveline in. then im building the 350 and dropping her in! Wish me luck!!!
  10. I'm dropping a 350 with vortech heads and a mild cam with the headers in my z pretty quick here but before I do I had some questions about body flext. how big is the body flex with the v8? am I going to get cracking paint and what not? will I need a roll bar and ****? any help is appreciated.
  11. one last thing, kind of off-topic of my original post, but anyone have a 240z for sale around san diego area?
  12. thanks guys, I think im going to listen to you guys. sounds like I'll part it out and get a complete one. dan juday - I didnt pay anything for it, my older sister's fiance gave it to me. he did a LS1 swap into his RX7 and he got it with a blown head gasket and didnt know it so he took it out and droped a LS6 in it. Hence why I got it for free
  13. Hey guys, I'm new to the board, posting wise. I look almost every day at your guys post and I know there are some people on here that know there shit so I have a question for you. I have just recently (this sunday) acquired LS1 short block that was over-heated several times, I tore into it this week and found out that I need at least a new block and a few pistsons. Aparently there was something in 2 of the combustion chambers bouncing around because 2 of the pistons are all chewed up on the top, as well as the block being cracked down one of the sleves and the aluminum around it is cracking in 2 places. So my question to you guys is; does anyone sell aftermarket LS1 blocks? Question 2: Would my LS1 crank, rods and cam work in a old-school chevy 350 block? Just for the fact that I dont want to deal with fuel injection, wiring, ecu, ect... and even if I build a LS1 long block its getting a carb slapped on it, so would I be better off building the LS1 long block as a semi-built LS1 (forged pistons and rods) or get a old-school 350 block and building this crank, rods and cam in that? I apprecate any replys ahead of time.
