just a thought as I have been dreaming RB30 since 03, there is alot of talk about a VW belt working with the swap making it easyer to get state side..

I have alot of info compiled if someone needs somthing but basicly think higher deck height and longer stroke.

from what I understand it is the same but with a transfercase where a shifter would be.

 

odly enough a tranny guy localy talked with me about using a Z33 tranny.

i dont see it being a option untill someone wants to front getting a new case prototyped.

I thought it would be just a bell housing but the entire case is together.

second the shifter is the old supra style(long behind) and the cover is NOT for a toploader.

So inless you want to have a 2+2 and use and adapter and shift from the back seat, I dont see the Z33 as a vaible option.

but if anyone is interested, he has 2 just sitting in a corner.

from what I understand about the Silvia and skyline trannys is that the are the same as the 5speeds with a extra gear crammed in. Making it not much stronger of an tranny.

Im going to be making a Z33 to RB bellhousing here soon though...

the problem isnt in the shipping, its in the crazy tax.

someone correct me if im wrong, but didnt any GTR come with a AWD tranny and the RB26? and the RWD Tranny came on the RB25 in any GTS-T? alright...another question. will any 6 speed fit on an rb25?

first, only the R34's came with the 6speed.. the others were the same as the gts-4 or gts-t but with a transfercase..

 

second, besides that of the Nismo SR transmission I dont think any come with the correct bolt pattern. The guys here are looking into modifying the 350Z bellhousings with that of the Nisssan 10bolt.. I may be getting ahold of one of these and taking the engine side, with the tranny side to a machine shop I know, with measurements and have the belhousing remade custom..

I had a 3.90 in mine with the GTST 5 speed and at 7900 rpm in third gear i was doing 125MPH!!!!! It drove nice on the street. With a 3.7 you dhave a hell of a topend!!!!!!

they do make them, you just need the part number.. they dont list them on US websites.. some of the NZ ones ahve that number..

i dont know about the WRX's

but I know that the car gives it 50/50 through the transfercase, and you have to wire a circut to trick the attesa into being RWD and I dont think that its 0/100

stealth, if you use the stock RB30 pistons with a RB25 head it has that low of compression, the mod is to switch to RB25 or RB26 pistons, they have the same bore..

are you going 30 block??/ where are you getting the block from, if contacted a few people on here from NZ who agreed to help me out, but i cant find anything on how to ship it...
