  1. I have a shell from a 260Z, that I was given for free..

Ive been working on it forever.. and its still not a rolling chassis..

I may be moving back to texas, and there are WAYYY better shells there... from all years, also much better support for racing..

I could get a working shell for 900, rolling, good body, interior.. most of the shells I see there are like this..

I could remove the buckets, the glass, interior parts, body pannels, hatch, wheels, rear end, emblems, harness, ecus... everything..

then sell the car for scrap weight.. buy my motor, build it, then move back to texas take my stuff and start with a new shell...

hard to let it go though, its getting cold, and i wont be able to keep working on it...

    opinions???

  2. the 69 351 has been taken stablely over 800hp, while the newer ones are JUST like the 302, just higher deck height..

the roller block 351 is a good motor, just not strong over 500... and for all that Id stay 302.

DO NOT go with a late 70's early 80's 351W.. No point whatsoever...

  3. Give me some details and I will make a few calls for you. Its never cheep though. The cobra r rims i have ordered form florida will coast $350 usd to ship to me. Size is about the same as an engine block' date=' obviously not the weight.

    Douglas[/quote']

its a RB30 block, shipped to 46219, indianapolis IN..

and dont worry, i paid 185 to get wheels from california

  4. inless you have a 93 cobra motor in your garage it makes no difference.. Just a 302 with bigger injectors, a WORSE EEC-IV(computer), and a GT40 intake(that you can get from a explorer)

I was going ford for the longest time, till my goals out grew my budget..

It depends on what power you want to make for my recomendations,

a 302 is cheap, hell I have one in my garage ill sell for $50(disasembled, needs rebuild)pistons(forged) are cheaper then imports, factory rods are forged.. all in all you'll spend about 2k in the motor for a fully rebuilt forged one.. then get a WC T5 and a clutch, 350 -400HP(FWHP)..

id say the whole swap will be about 5k after its all said in done..

but if its over 500 dont go 302, and prepare to spend 2k on a manual transmission.

a 69 351W would handle it, but you'll end up itching for more... then you dont want it to blow, then you buy better stuff, then you realize you just spent 8k in just the motor, and trans... but it would be SICK!!!!

  5. ive been on UPS for a hour trying to get a "guestimate" of how much shipping would be on a engine block from NZ.. after searching for a damn postal code online I enter it in and im like YES!!! but it only shows me next day or 2 day.. and granted id like it "quickly" but it would need a rebuild and im in no hurry.. plus the $1800 cost is kinda scarry..

any guesses??? Its 685 for shipping from japan for a clip.. A WHOLE CLIP!! cant think it would be that high but anything helps..

BTW I just ordered a just cleaned, disasembled RB25 here in the states for 450 shipped..

    WOOT!
