  1. Go with the Mishimoto for sure. I've sold their stuff in my store for many years and although I don't deal with them directly I have always been impressed with the quality of their stuff for the price they retail at. I have used CX stuff before but to me they are just well branded and slightly cleaner versions of the same cheaper stuff you find on ebay and elsewhere. I would def but the Mushi stuff a notch or two above them. You would be surprised if you did a boost leak test at how many of those cheaper intercoolers have pin holes in them. Nothing you will notice but they will work the turbo that much harder to build boost.
  2. I've seen other members post up similar parts but for 2250 plus shipping etc I think I will stick with bicep power for now.
  3. OK well yeah I can imagine a 275 extra sticky race tire being quite a challenge.
  4. Thanks for the info guys, that's what I needed to hear and also what I assumed to be the case. Don't plan to go grocery shopping with the car so don't think parking will be a big enough issue to care about. Could always do with a little extra arm muscle. I think I will stick with the manual for now.
  5. Hey guys, did a lot of searching and reading before posting but found mostly questions being answered by opinions so was wondering what you guys are running up front as far as tire width and sizes go and how you find the steering. I am in between keeping the stock rack and pinion out of the Z versus WRX power steering but I will be running a 235/17 tyre up front with the rb26 on my 280 and was wondering what I should expect as far as effort goes. I will be designing it as a dd but don't really expect to drive it more than a few times a week. I'm leaning towards the stock rack simply because I want to keep the feel genuine and not to mention it will just be easier in the first place.
  6. Thanks. Just ordered my AEM Series 2 management from Rawbrokerage. Cant really afford it right now but they have a 50% off coupon deal on the RB management. Couldn't let that one go!
  7. Little vid a friend put together of my shop and the car... https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=fh2JS6673wc
  8. Engine back out and stripped in preparation for restoration and rebuild.
  9. Thanks Plata might just do that. Can you recall how much they charged for the service and shipping etc? Just an idea?
  10. Anyone ever get one from rockauto and can tell me how it was packaged? Thanks
  11. Problem is I doubt they will package it overly well to withstand international freight and my forwarder does not repackage.
  12. I would think a triangulated brace across the engine and back towards the firewall would be a more effective and probably easier solution.
  13. Hi guys thanks for replies but as mentioned I live overseas, in the Caribbean to be specific so sourcing locally is not an option since where I live there aren't really any Zs hence my unusual circumstances.
  14. @Mattb, Lance is right. Don't want to distract from op topic but my build is in the Rb engine forum.
  15. Haha thanks. Yeah it's true, scattered to the far ends of the earth and you can still spot a 'bajan' a mile off.
  16. Very nice indeed. What software you using for the model?
  17. Thanks, if you're ever back give me a shout. @Stony think I downloaded it a while back but have to look for it. Thanks for the suggestion.\
  18. Hi as topic says looking for a windshield for my 77 280z, but I live overseas so I need it crated and packaged well and shipped to my freight forwarder in Miami 33178. Preferably seller in FL or close to save on shipping there. Naturally I am willing to pay the extra for the packaging etc. If possible please send me estimate including shipping to info@redlinebarbados.com Thanks
  19. Thanks guys, still got a ways to go. Just pulled back out the engine and stripped it in preparation for rebuild and restoration. Hope I can remember how to put it all back together lol. Lights are from a cube, not a fan of the cube but wanted to keep it nissan throughout and the circle lights have been a bit overdone and these suit it quite well imo. I have the center light bar to shorten and install also to finish it off. Yeah the RHD dash is a pain to source and not cheap when found. I wouldnt mind getting a proper mold done once I clean it up but only if there was a fair amount of interest. Plus shipping from my location would not be too cheap.
  20. I went twin outlet for my rb motor, had to run a fuel cell for it though. Here is my setup... Twin turbo 2.5" into 3" Flex into Single 3 to twin 2.5" muffler out with 2.5" and HKS tips. All stainless. My first muffler job and was no picnic especially working less than 2' off the ground.
  21. Hmmm not seeing any pm. Can you email to info@redlinebarbados.com. Thanks
  22. As topic says looking for a steering shaft for a '77 280z. Not the column but the actual shaft that would be in the engine bay. Preferably with the u joints still in tact. Not sure if they are all the same from the 240 up, maybe someone can let me know. Thanks in advance.
  23. Lining up seats and steering column for final time. Also will be running a power steering rack from a WRX. Had to shorten the shaft and modify the subframe engine support.
