i have a 79 280zx with eibach springs and tokico struts. i was wondering if a 15x8 inch wheel with 0 offset and 245/50-15 tires will clear the suspension. any comments would be greatly appreciated

the car has eibach lowering springs so would 235/50or55s clear those springs

come on now, someone must have some sort of idea

i have a friend that just recently purchased a 81 280zxt and the fuel pump makes the loudest noises. you can hear the fuel pump surging and it is making the car run like crap. i have a brand new 79 280zx n/a fuel pump, but would that supply enough fuel for that car? i really dont think it will but being that it is his daily driver will it work for like several days if he stayed out of boost

as far as what i want to do with, i am not really sure many friends of mine are into autox but i really dont think the zx with the sbc will do to well at that. i will most likely do drag race it. as far as that goes what rear end ratios would i need, i want it to have decent acceleration but i will drive it on the interstate occsionally. so i really dont want a really tall gear. i also plan on investing in a limited slip diff, i am just not sure if i want to spend that much money on the r-180. wouldnt it be wiser to spend that little extra on the r-200. i have a 350 sbc w/ edelbrock performer carb and intake, electronic ignition and a 200r4 transmission. maybe that will help with what gear ratio i will need

i appreciate the help it seems like i have the weak a@# r-180, and with the 350 up front i am going to have to dump more money into the never ending money pit that is my zx. but it will all be worth it when it gets complete

is there any easy way to tell if i have a GL. seems like mine might be that it had power windows a/c and all kinds of power things. it was debadged when i got it so i do not have any idea

so there are manual 280zx out there with r-180s.

i have a 79 280zx which had i standerd transmission before the sbc swap, but it has a r-180 rear end. why is this? i have been reading these forums for a long time and it seems like everyone has the same conclusion...all the 280z and zx with a standerd tranny had the r-200. any thoughts would be appreciated

first off i have a 350 sbc in my 79 zx. i am really confused on what to do suspension wise. i have read many threads on this but still do not have any set ideas on what i should run on my zx. i am looking for a pretty stiff suspension because i plan on autox. any suggestions on what setup i should run would be greatly appreciated.

what is the most boost a stock turbo on a l28et can handle?

i have a weird problem. i have a 81 280zx turbo and when i start it, it runs alittle ruff and when i put it in drive it dies. any ideas?

what do you all think a 280zx with sbc 350 with edelbrock performer intake and 600 cfm carb, and headers, full exhaust, 2004r transmission, no power steering or air conditioning run in the quarter mile?
