Is there any other car thermostat that will fit to RB26 ? How about in other Nissan line, any thermostat will work to my RB26? Can you give me some info about the Rb26 thermostat?

I'm tired of conversion process using V8's and RB's. Next time this will be my powerplant.

The paint is house of color or something. Its like water, the painter has a hard time painting it. He must have put 5 coats. ZAP-Z is the Datsun series first 5 speed/R200 diff. Yellow bus with a big black decal in the hood. Some of you will remember this color and series. If I find a picture of a ZAP-Z from Datsun, I will post the picture here.

Thanks SOILEAU---->yes I think I can make it to work. If the rod is short, perhaps I can replace it with a bit longer say 1/2 inch more. Did the guy said a "short throw"? Did he mentioned how much short? Also, your car pictures showed you are also using Electromotive. I am also using electromotive but don't have any initial map to tweak. Do you think its possible you can share your map? This is a great help regardless, really appreciate...million thanks

I think I paid somewhere in $900. I have an account in QUAIFE. If you will organize a "buy", then I will use my account to help you guys. I think the full price for R200 for Z) is something like $1,200. It's been awhile and don't remember. By the way, the measurement of the clutch slave cylinder of RB25 bolt pattern is 1 1/4 inches side by side ( on center).

I will go to autozone and measure the bolt holes. Somewhere along the line we have to find the cross reference to save us some money. By the way, I also installed my rear diff (R200) with QUAIFE. If anyone need a QUAIFE let me know, maybe I can help buying.

I called advance auto, I asked the clutch slave for z32. He said the shape is "L" shape and it has 2" on center bolt pattern. I have to measure my Rb25 if this will fit. The "L" shape is promising. The stock clutch slave cylinder from my 77 Z is different mount and it will not bolt to the RB25 tranny. Any other clutch slave cylinder that I can use that is available here in the U.S. ? Is the 300zxTT clutch slave cylinder will work? Thanks

Just for records: I found out the correct yoke (spline)using RB25det tranny is from Nissan Truck Pathfinder.

Thanks Taylor.....really appreciate helping me and my kid with his project. The picture also help us a lot, atleast we can see the modification. Where do you buy the ears? I remember when I did my home trailer, I bought a kit, inside has two ears. I think I should go to the trailer shop and look for 2 ears.

First of all thanks for Taylor and Jamie helping me in regards to the driveshaft spline. Question---> My engine RB26dett is mounted to the 77 Z. I also have the RB25 tranny (not yet mounted). Can someone tell me if I have to modify or fabricate a tranny support? I still have the 280z support. I know for sure the RB25 is a bit longer than the Z tranny and it will not land in the same support spot where you can bolt them. Thanks people

I am doing conversion from 1977 Z to Rb26dett. I got the engine in the car. I have an Rb25det tranny. I have to make my own driveshaft. Can some help & tell me what driveshaft spline I need? Is the spline of 240sx or the 300zx TT will match the Rb25 tranny input shaft?

I need a twin plate clutch GTS (Rb25det). Do you know the best place to buy this item? I believed when you buy the twin plate, the flywheel is included. My project is 77 280Z with Rb26dett using the Rb25det tranny. Thanks for any help

Thanks Eventually, we will replace it with RC, we are still in the early stage. I am one of those guys that don't jump until I have a base. I don't exactly works like other people does. I leave it stock if possible,I progress from there. People got into trouble by jumping big , there is no base to follow. Although I jump to a big turbo (I don't have a small one, didn't come with turbo) Anyway , I will pay if anyone will not share me a free base electromotive map. Thanks

I am looking for a base Electromotive map for start. Yes! I know its not gonna be equal. I can probably tweak once I have a base to start with. I have an Rb26dett to the 77 Z, stock RB injectors, intercooler and a T72 single turbo. I am willing to pay if I no one can help for free. I will appreciate any help!

No!...no! ...no! I am not comparing how fast this two engines. I am in the process of rebuilding my Rb26dett. I need some help! If anyone here knows of any interchangeable parts from the 280z or Zx that will match any parts in the RB26dett. I am tired of waiting parts in the U.S. and I am looking for other alternatives that will speed up the rebuilding. Also trying to find if this route will save me some dough. I assumed there are lots of speed performance too for the Z and hoping anyone here can give me a cross reference such as: Valve guides Valve seals Crankshaft bearings Camshaft bearings Cooling system parts Fueling system parts and such..............
