    Stunning 6

Ha, Will we were just talking about this 2 days ago. Looks pretty!
  2. Jeff going to use the SPAL power window kit that I have installed on the red Z. It is great not having to reach over to roll down the window. It is a must mod for anyone who drives their car a lot.
  3. Looking for a for mirror like this one in the pic....thanks!
  4. I know, I was hoping someone had something cheaper they wanted to get rid of.....................

  6. So the weather is finally starting to come around here in the northeast, it isn't like we had a real winter anyway. Here is the updated look of the Z with the 5 ways adjustables and lowring springs installed: Next this weekend is to install the poly busings to the steering rack and steering coupler to remove the play in the steering wheel. I also finished the alternator swap a few days ago. I bought an external voltage regulator from rock auto and it seemed not to work. Could not get the 75 60amp alternator to recharge the alternator at all. So I got a zxt 70amp internal regulator from Cygnusx1 and everything is working great. Here is my quick write up. For my early 260z model my voltage regulator controls one of the relays for the gas pump and interlock for the seat belt. I didn't "wire" around those two features yet and plan to do so once I do the turbo swap. Ok so moving on to pictures. Left is the 280zxt 70amp vs 75 280z 60amp alternator: Then I cut the connector off from the external voltage reg from the 260z: Be sure to pick up this part (diode) from Radio Shack: So the male connector only has 6 wires. The white and black wires are not used and can be cut back and taped. After the yellow and white/red wire can be connected. Then the white/blue and white/black wires can be connected. Be sure to have the silved band end of the diode connected to the right wire (white/black) wire to keep the current flowing in the correct direction. If not, once you turn the car off with the key it will continue to run due to the loop system. The is fixed with the plug MSA sells for the 240z but the 260z has a round connector. See pics below and be sure to test out my connections on your system before you finalize it all. You can tie the wires together on the other side of the plug (female) or jumper across in the plug but be sure to check color of wires as they are not the same on both sides of the plug. Done with that part and will swap to a voltage reg once I do the turbo swap. New MOMO wheel came in the mail and waiting on the hub to get this part installed.....it looks and feels great! Still working on getting the music and power windows done within the next 2 months but as track days approach we shall see.
  7. Mike when you say zero clutch travel, you mean the pedal makes full travel but the clutch does not release? Just starting from the top, double checked the rod and clevis for the clutch master? I had one where the threads actually got stripped and I couldnt tell it was binding under the dash. Clutch master in good shape? Last would be to check the slave. I can't see if there isn't any physical damage to the pressure plate and the what I call fingers are still stiff why that would need to be changed out.
  8. Hey makes sense, I gave my old Z away to my buddy who just played shot-gun when I picked up many part cars over the years. I know it isn't mine but Phil I think that is a great idea if you can afford it - help Chris out
  9. First come first serve closest to your asking price, so pm me your price for exhaust manni so I can put the L30 together
  10. Mike traction control controlled via rev limiter? Can't wait to see the car finish and to hear what you think.
  11. I guess my set is now at rags house! Jeff let us know what Blake says if you call him. Wonder what his reasoning is. Maybe I will sell my spare LS1 to fund a head swap and install of the new LTs!
  12. Looks like they just missed that one, don't see a reason to weld up the other 7 and not do 1.
  13. I just did the zxt alternator swap this weekend to my 260z. I am getting a 13.2v at the battery, down to about 12.1v during cranking and back to 13.v while running, if I rev the car from the engine bay watching the meter, I volts creeps to 15v and stays there. I will have to double check my wiring or maybe the alternator is bad -over charging the system?
  14. I just bought a wheel yesterday - MOMO and 350mm too. I like the feel of that wheel and steering effort isn't much. Sucks that the hub is like half the ocst of the wheel though. On my LS1 car, I run a 320mm wheel because I like the feel of more effort out of me which in return the car talks back to me during track days. I think you will like the wheel you posted.
  15. Like the title states....looking for new or used. Thanks
  16. Sounds like my kind of place! They get right to work on the car!
  17. PICTURES! Of both carz pleaze, we like pics!
  18. I tried, it takes time but when you want things like yesterday there are never any good deals....we all know that. =)
  19. Aplyemind - I just spoke to him a few days ago because he is local to me. He can't find the Z to fit what he needs plus in the price range he wants to buy....he made an offer on a different type of car, hopefully for him he gets it and he shares with us what it is. Why would I want to kick someone out of our own local Z club?
  20. I think he gave up on Z cars, couldn't find a gem in his price range.
  21. Rayven - try to pm about the covered speaker panels.
  22. Very nice! I have to call Blake Monday to see where Joe and my LT headers are.
