  1. 2nd pair are r32 skyline lights, not silvia lights. silvia lights would be exactly the same as US market 240sx lights.
  2. thoes are probably just stock photos, thoes tension rods are for corollas, the camber plates are for s chassis. techno toy tuning (t3) is quality parts, if you were interested id email them or somthing instead of buying off ebay. heres the page http://www.technotoytuning.com/
  3. couple of questions - 1. which store will get these to me the fastest? i plan on ordering at like 12 pm on monday, and they need to be at my house by friday. 2. are there any stores that will sell these in pairs? like 2 fronts for 100$ or whatever? 3. what are some sources for these? so far all i have found is http://www.zcarparts.com and http://www.classicdatsun.com any help would be appriciated!
  4. ive had various types of aftermarket seats in my car (240sx) and my friend has had one in his 280z, if you take one thing from my post, you get what you pay for in terms of aftermarket seating. also, PLEASE consider getting a fixed back seat. myself and my friend have bucket seats on the drivers side and stock seats on the passenger side. every time somone else drives my car and i am in the passenger seat, i find myself hating the stock seat. bucket seats are much more supportive, the material is nicer, ect. also, one thing a lot of people dont know is that it is sidemount bucket seats (all the good ones are side mount) are very simple to recline. takes like 3 minutes to change the angle. with a good bucket seat the padding is easy to remove, making cleaning a breeze. finally, side mount seats can be made to sit much lower than a reclining seat, if headroom is a problem. cliffsnotes - bucket seats are more supportive, lighter weight, easier to care for and clean, give more headroom, and still very easy to recline to whatever the desired leanback angle may be. get a bucket seat!
  5. wheels are 18x10 -7 18x12 -20 work equip m1. pm me any info regarding paint? im in austin, so close enough.
  6. Mike kZ - the "paint" is actually contact paper, cost about 80 bucks for enough to cover my car with. SleeperZ - uh yea i shouldve said sx in the thread title, but its a version select type 1 bumper with custom fenders, if thats what you meant. Trecani - yep drifting. and i am in the process of turboing a fresh ka24 motor. wheelman - yep temporary stickers. id like to do a candy red like this but ill never be able to afford it unless i get a hookup. Sparky - intercooler is not mounted yet, ill be going with a cheap front mount setup. and yea i dont plan to drift on these wheels, would be VERY difficult. Im in austin. as for the headlight liners, i had some extra of the blue sticker stuff and threw it on there. not sure if i like it or not. if i get tired of it ill just peel it off. thanks for the compliments and for keeping it civil
  7. heres a pic of my 240 that was getting flamed like crazy in a thread on here a while back, i said id post a picture after i got the wheels on, so here it is
  8. take your balls out of your purse.
  9. haha i wont ever get insecure about anything on my car. why bother doing anything if your going to regret it later on. its just a car. if i ever want to paint it again im just going to spray the whole thing down with paint stripper and go at it with a wire wheel. but thats never going to happen anyway, because i HATEEEEE body work.
  10. lol. its painters tape. i am the one who said the mirror should go on the fender. because, why bother changing the mirror if its going in the same place? and it would look cool with the flares. and you could probably see better out of it. do it geoff!! and for all the blue sparkle haters, i dont have the time or skill required for a legitimate paint job, and this was 80 bucks for a big roll. half as much as a maaco paintjob and looks way cooler. if you say you dont like glitter, you are lying to yourself. deep down, everyone likes glitter and chrome and flame jobs and what not. and yes it sees street use. its not done, its like half red still. if your friends and family crash their car because of my "paint job" then they need to stop rubbernecking.
  11. the s30 front end s13 is actually a kit, bumper, hood, conversion fenders etc. that used to be sold in japan. that style of cars is modelled after racing trends of the 70s and 80s silhouette cars, and then exaderated. i dont see why this style is seen as so bizarre and noone says anything about US style choppers.
  12. right. the toe can be taken out with the outer end just as before. obviously you guys are thinking about this for the wrong reasons. If you are concerned with somthing as minute as ackermann, then this probably isnt the mod for you. it is just a ghetto mod that people do for drifting to get more steering angle. hardly any motorsport involves having the car at full steering lock. maybe autocross does? i dunno. but setup on a drifting car can varey widley, things like corner weighting and such dont really matter when all you are doing is goofing around and trashing tires.
  13. hey guys. i have the s14. you guys are blowing it way out of proportion. all it is is a thick washer, maybe 1/3 1/2 cm thick, that goes over the inner tie rid end, where it threads into the rack. you seem to be confused. this mod dosent really quicken the steering wheel, like a low ratio rack, full lock is still the same (1.5 turns from center, on my car) but at full lock, the wheel has more angle, to the point where it hits the stopper on the wheel knuckle. It would probably turn even more if i moved the stopper. obviously, if you have the steering rack turned all the way to one side, the wheel will have a certain amount of angle. now if you increase the length of the tie rod, the wheel will be turned that much more. pretty basic. ps - the ones in that picture, the big black things, thread into the steering rack and then into the tie rod. thoes spacers are for fc3s. thoes spacers are freakin huge because in stock from fcs dont have very good steering angle. mine is just a washer that goes over the thread, so that it dosent thread in so far. hope that clears stuff up.
  14. hi guys. i am trying to figure out wheel sizing for a friend. I dont really have any proper measurments so the offset is probably gonna be +- 10mm. so if you have any sizing info, please let me know. here is what i have come up with so far. judging by my 240sx (s14) the stock wheels were 6.5" wide +40 offset; I am able to run 9" wide with -1 offset on mildly pulled stock fenders. so that comes to about 74mm wider than stock. my friend has stock wheels and weve already pulled his fenders (probably even more than mine) so this measurment should be close, if not too small even. On top of this, he was looking at either these flares (are these called IMSA flares?) or the ZG flares. does anyone have any exact measurments of these flares? just eyeballing, i guess that the IMSA ones are 2.5-3" wider than stock? this would constitute another 76mm of wheel offset (at 3"). Finally, guessing that the stock wheels he has are about 5.5" wide with about 5 offset, that would mean, with the flares, in a 10" width, for the wheel to be flush, the wheel would have to be about -90 offset So I am thinking this would be 10" wide with a 1.5 - 2" inch backspace. not totally sure. but does this sound correct to you guys. thanks!
