Also check the water ports. Your head could be corroded around where the water flows through it and it could be sneaking around the gasket. You should atleast take your head to a machine shop and have it magnifluxed to check for warping and cracks.

But as far as how much hp the bottom end can take is what i am wondering. I am going to ceramic coat the pistons and either take the rods to a machine shop or get new ones. I was just wondering how much HP it could take before it became a grenade.
I'm currently rebuilding a 280zx motor to put into my 260. I was wondering what the rating of the block was as far as max HP. Last thing i want to do is blow out the bottom of the motor. Thank you
