  1. I just checked with Norm. Great guy. I will be ordering a plate from him as soon as I collect the proper info so it gets stamped up all nice and proper like. Thanx guys, I knew I came to the right place.
  2. I have been lurking here for sometime now, off and on, and have to say, you guys are fantastic as far as online message boards go. Just SO helpful to old timers and newbies alike. Just awesome. OK, to the point. I have a 72 240Z project that I will be selling soon. But... when I moved out of my old shop, I somehow lost the doorjamb ID plate (I know I have it somewhere because I remember putting it in a safe place so I wouldn't lose it and... you know how that stuff usually works out). I have the dash plate, which matches the stamped chassis numbers, but cannot for the life of me find the doorjamb plate. My question is, does anybody know of a source for unstamped reproduction plates? I realize this might sound a bit fishy so I don't blame folks for being suspicious. I know it can be done. I come from the vintage road racing world and what I'm asking about here is common place when you are talking about cars worth six figures and manufacturers whos record keeping was questionable at its best. I know how and where to have an exact copy made but would rather not if I don't have to. Any ideas out there? If the idea of a new plate just freaks out everyone too much I may just sell the thing without it. I haven't decided yet. I would really rather not part the car out. The shell is a rust free California car and deserves to have another life. So, back to the plate, any ideas or contacts? Thanx for your consideration, Andrew Henderson
