Josh280z
Well, here is is, back with another problem that maybe you guys can help me out with. I recently replaced the clutch and in doing so had to removed the starter. I have the clutch replaced and connected the starter. I tried to start it and no power to the starter. My question is: Do I have to hook up the negative battery cable to the solenoid for it to crank?
dexter72
The positive battery cable goes to the starter. You may have one or two more big eyelit wire ends that go to the same starter terminal, the battery cable goes to. The negative cable goes to a ground, like a transmission to engine bolt. Make sure the small spade terminal wire ( the signal wire )is connected securely to the starter.
