ineedboost
Hi guys, I'm thinking about buying the emusa 240sx coilovers for my Z. If I buy them, I will not be using the 8k/6k springs that they come with. According to this thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/88915-coilovers-emusa-vs-megan/ The springs that the coilovers come with are 8" long. Is there any reason that you couldn't replace them with 10" springs that have a much lower spring rate? I was thinking of going with 200lb/in front and 225lb/in rear. I would assume that since the spring rate is lower you would want to have a longer spring correct? Thanks in advance. johnc
Probably OK. You need to think about ride height, strut tube length, and bump travel to determine lower spring perch position.
