yem73z
So along with my vq35de swap into my 1973 datsun 240z I decided to mount the steering column also. I didn't want to deal with reflashing the ecm and key for it to turn over the engine so i when i purchased the motor, i got the ecu, bcm, steering column w/key, ignition switch, and all the other stock electronics. Its cool also that the steering column locks to I guess it might help a little when it comes to thieves trying to still this car when its done....anyhow, here's a pic of the steering column mounted and a suspension shot of my new 5lug suspension/big brake combo i picked up from arizona z car a while back. ComicArtist
That's what's up! Are you running your stock steering rack or did you swap it out for the powered 350z rack as well? Also, coilovers look great! How low do you plan on going?
yem73z
Im gonna be using the stock 240z steering rack, im too lazy to figure out how to mount the 350z rack and plus I kind of like the roughness of having to power steering. Also about the ride height....im gonna try to slam the car as low as possible, depending on how low my oil pan is gonna be sitting once I drop the motor into its final placement. yem73z
I meant to say I like the harshness of having "no" powersteering. I hate posting comments sometimes from my phone lol.
