Guest Anonymous
Terry, I understand why you didn't use the 1 wire now. Yeah mine is of the 'on at 2000 rpm' variety, with stock sized pulleys and convential mounting. Since I replace the JY one with a rebuilt, mine works fine now once it hits 2000 RPM's (which is nearly immediately and repeatedly ). blueovalz
Yeah, my alternator is running off the driveshaft (sits behind the passeger seat between the seat and the shelf). The pulley ratio would not allow a 1 wire to "turn on" until I got up to about 35 mph with my 3.54 diff and my tall tires. With this 3 wire one, I hopefully will have at least a small charge going on about town to help a little bit.
BLKMGK
I'm still slightly confused - no light no charge? But I've got nothing on that wire I'm pretty sure Mine charges, I'm sure of it... I'll look at mine tonight and double check (sigh). BTW - this reminds me, a friend who used to restore Zs used to bitch about how som of hem would simply die if a bulb on the dashboard blew. I'm thinking this was probably a charge indicator light like the one you're talking about. Be aware that if that bulb blows you may not have any charging going on. Sound right?
