wearetheromans85
forgive me for my ignorance on this hence I've never rebuilt this motor before and it being my first rebuild. I turned my motor over the other day about to take the rods and pistons out then i noticed those two spots on the crank where it looks like its been chipped. this is the factory crank so are those spots where the crank has been balanced at? suparman
You have really got to shrink those pictures so we can see.

beermanpete
There are machine marks on the spots so it is clearly intentional. Balancing artifact would my guess.
suparman
Thank you for the smaller pictures. My guess would be balancing as well. definitely not broke or chipped.
