Guest Anonymous
I know nothing about this but...does anyone know if a dry sump oil system is available for the 302? Seems to me it would eliminate the oil pan problem, allow you to place the engine even lower (as long as the harmonic balancer wasn't hanging up on anything), plus allow you to move the oil reservoir rearward, helping weight bias. Guest Anonymous
Dr., Look for a mid-80's mustang bi-sump oil pan. Its got a small front sump and a large rear sump that will work. It'll clear the crossmember by about an inch (depending on your mounting scheme) according to a article I read on another web page. I think Milodon makes a circle track pan that is rear sump, but its rather pricey (250.00 or so). Regards, Lone
