docjim
Hi, I'm sure at least one of you has solved this problem. I'm replacing the mechanical coolant temperature and oil pressure gauges with electric units. The problem is that I would like to use Teflon tape to make sure there are no leaks. Unfortunately, (and obviously) this interferes with the natural grounding of the sensor unit. What have you done to get a good ground? Thanks, Jim
Hybrid240z
Teflon tape is a thin and soft material. When torqueing down the sensor, the threads will cut through the tape and ground to the housing threads at multiple locations. I've used it before on other temp sensors with no problems.
