Guest jens
I have found these pictures http://zcar.netdojo.com/pics/motormountdrawing.jpg and http://zcar.netdojo.com/pics/302motormount.jpg But i need a little more informantion about the location of the tube. Im not sure but i think he means that it got to be angled a little bit to get the desired engine angle. The side wiew drawing is mishguiding in my opinion help?. That type of rubbermount should be used on the block.
Guest scca
those are alsils mounts. he uses a 69 mustang engine mount, they use a bolt thru. i use a early 66 mustang mount - its a stud type. NOTE.. the type of mount you copy will affect the type of exhaust you can use. Al has a ford rack (power) and used 2 different brands of headers. so look into this all before you start. i used flowtech coated headers and i think Dan used dynotech. Dan has very nice mounts, but i think als are the easiest to copy. mine are similar in difficulty to Dans.
Guest Lsb4life
what angle do the mounts have to be at? also can i use shorty headers that are equal length or unequal?
Guest jens
I have made a autocad drawing but in millimeters from aisils drawing that might help. I havent used the same materials but the engine should end in the same position. http://www.brems.subnet.dk/motormount.htm
alsil
Hey guys- I'm not using the ones that are floating around anymore - I'm using a crossmember type now. I'm thinking of making them and selling them, as they are pretty much drop-in. What do you guys think? AL
