Often times the blocks aren't "finished" when you buy them - not sure if Ford is selling them finished or not. If they aren't the machine work could drive you into the poor house. There's also all sorts of expansion issues to worry about. Aluminum GM blocks are supposed to be a real PITA to work with. Not sure it would be worth it to save a few lbs IMO. It is out of my reach anyway I just thought I would post about the dart blocks so the bowtie guys wouldn't think they are so special anymore.
