Guest ScaryFast
Is there any difference between the t5 out of a cobra and say one out of a standard 5-o? Are the ratios different, coarser splines, anything else.... Also If I do decide to get it how much would it roughly cost to ship it from Waco TX to Phoenix AZ? (1300 miles +/-)
Dp351zcar
Ok I think that both will a WC T5 but the one in the cobra might have the 2.95 first gear. Call Hanlon motorsports Hanlon motorsports and they could answear better than I could. Don
Guest Anonymous
Ya said ruff estimate: $75.00 to $100.00 (get a waco zip code and the Phoenix zip plus the weight guestimate and get on line with UPS and use their "shipping charge engine" I spent about $115 for a heavier auto tranny out of Chicago to Oregon
Guest Anonymous
I believe the T5 out of a '94-'95 Cobra to be a world class unit with a 3.35 first gear ratio. I've actually found that the T5's in the '85 thru early '87 5.0's are slightly more durable with their 2.95 first gear ratio. The steeper first gear in the later factory T5's multiplied torque a little too much for even a stock vehicle when run hard. This caused early failure, especially vehicles had mild modifications or were run on slicks.
