Scarab73
Hey Guys, What are fellow members running as far as vac distributors are concerned? I'm really not interested in the HEI's as I think they are just too darn big looking. Not to mention they get in the way. This if for a SBC, BTW. Thanks for any input. rsicard
Investigate the Crane Cams distributor. It has a solid state vacuum and pseudo mechanical sensors that can each be individually adjusted. These two curves can be custom set.

Scarab73
Hi, Anyone running these Crane distributors with the small cap in their Zs with the SBC setback in the engine bay? This all goes back to the hood latch interference issues many experience.
Scarab73
Running MSD dist with mag pickup and vac advance. along with a MSD 6600 HVC box. Thanks for the reply. How does your setup work with regards to your SBC being setback with that dist. relative to the female hood latch mechanism on the firewall? Chaparral2f
Vertex Mag. No coil, no vac adv and no battery needed for ign. Not to mention a really hot, really long duration spark.
