Mdantonio
Just an FYI -- I have a 383 Stroker V8 and an automatic Th350 transmission in a 260z 2+2. I've found the "pioneer inc automotive products" part number CA-3004 speedo at autozone for $6.98 to have both screw on metal fittings on each end that mate perfectly to the stock z speedo and the th350 transmission with metal ends and no breakaway plastic. I noticed this same cable via JTR at 80 dollars.
GOTHALOSISM
Thanks, wonder if this will work for the t5's
ineedboost
As long as it is long enough it should work with a t5. I used the cable in the JTR kit on a TH350 and a t5 without issue.
Chaparral2f
Almost any speedometer shop can build a cable to what ever length you need. It will cost more than $6.98 but is still way below $80. Just saying in case you need a specific length.

Just saying in case you need a specific length. Autozone has a 71 inch and an 86 I believe but don't quote me. I know they have multiple lengths so if distance is the concern you'll be fine, I had plenty left. I'd get the autozone version, they take them back if they break in a year. Yes only six or seven bucks but every dollar counts on these cars....and the autozone cable has been the best and I've had the 80 dollar versions... GOTHALOSISM
Wonder why there is a price difference from where you are and I am. The part number for the cable is 10.99 here. Its still a great buy and I will have to get that as well.
adisturbedv8z
This is great information. I am in the middle of my build and have not got a speedo cable yet. I unfortunately am stuck with the turbo 350 for now so this will help me put some money to a radiator. Thanks!
Mdantonio
No problem and if anyone is in a location where you can't find the cable autozone here claims they can cross reference the part number to other locations. Send your zip and city if you have problems and I'll get the part number for you, no sweat!
GOTHALOSISM
Getting mine today so I will update my results, now do I keep using my stock radiator or use a camaro one (I have the jtr mount but not sure if I want to use it). Heck I might even sell it to buy some working gauges.
GOTHALOSISM
Ok update, got it, installed it and now not sure if my gauge is bad but the needle jumps around alot and shows about 20mph fast.
GOTHALOSISM
Ok figured out that my drive gear (cog) is not the right one, now any one know off hand what one it should be? My car is using the 3.54 r200 with 15x8 rims.
