str8pipez
Anyone used/seen/have pics of small rear wings? I was looking at the wing on my wife's BMW and thought it would be cool to use on my 75. It's 46" long and attaches with double sided tape. I bought it prepainted on Ebay for $35 (they are still listed). The hatch on the 280 is 41.5". I'm considering using it only on the hatch itself, or buying 2 of these and cutting extra pieces for the body next to the hatch. Not sure yet, but I've attached a pic for reference. Thoughts? I'd buy one that was painted black. For $35 bucks it's hard to beat. Less is more! Edited August 29, 2012 by str8pipez
clutchdust
I think that would look pretty good as long as the ends were done well. But I'm a fan of a little more subtle than the over the top stuff. Since it's just stuck with double sided tape, can you just take it and lay it on the hatch and post a pic so we can get a little better idea of what it might look like? B. Whisky
I like the idea of buying two and finishing the ends.
str8pipez
I haven't bought one yet. I was hoping someone had done something similar. I'll order one and see what's what's.
Zmanco
On a Z with the sloping hatch and the poor aerodynamics that causes, a small wing like that will have very little aero effect. You need one that sticks up much higher. If you're doing it for looks, well then have at it
