cockerstar
8mm rod bolts or 9mm rod bolts? Or does it matter? edit: I just saw that you posted a wanted ad for a VO7 crank, so I'm guessing you'd prefer the 9mm ones. S30Turbo
Yea I'll go with the 9mm so I can put arp bolts. Is that correct
Zmanco
I still have the original L24 from my '73 sitting in the garage and have been looking for a good excuse to get rid of it $125 + shipping.
cockerstar
ARP makes hardware for both 8mm and 9mm L-series rods. A set of 8mm rods running ARP fasteners will be stronger than a set of 9mm rods running stock rod bolts (especially reused stock ones!). S30Turbo
I'll take the 8mm rods If you have any
cockerstar
I don't have any l-24 rods for sale right now. The rods in Zmanco's engine should be 9mm rods. If he posts the serial number on the engine we can know for sure.
S30Turbo
Zmanco you have the serial number?
Zmanco
I can't easily get to the engine right now but the car was built in 2/73. Let me know if you want them and I'll clear things out of the way and get the serial number for you tonight. BTW, were is the serial number on the block? This one is so dirty that it's probably not going to be obvious. Edited August 30, 2012 by Zmanco
