myjunkyard
After extensive searching, I have yet to find the answer to my problem. I purchased Eibach springs from MSA, I installed them per their instructions, 6303.001 up front, 6303.002in the rear, along with Tokico hp shocks. Per MSA the short springs 6303.001 were put up front and the 6303.002 in the rear. I called and they couldn't confirm spring lengths over the phone. After lowering the car off the jack stands, and after rolling the car around, the car seems to sit a little weird. The front of the car dropped almost 2" and the rear didn't move at all. I have about a finger with from the fender to the wheel(14") in the front, and a full fist of space in the rear. The front also has only about 1.5-2" off travel left before the bump stop (is this normal?). When I installed the springs, the front after assembly had about 2-3"" of slop left, and in the rear I had to apply only a few lbs of pressure to put the isolator cap on. I am not sure if i have Strut assembly's from other yrs on mine or what. Does anyone know the strut assembly lengths for all the z cars? myjunkyard
Longer springs go in front. So basically, MSA either has the part # wrong on the springs, or they just have to STOP telling people to install them incorrectly. I will swap them out and take a look.
