cgraner Posted September 26, 2012 Share Posted September 26, 2012 We have a 1976 280Z with a 327 and TH350. We want to use the stock 280Z shifter so it will look stock on the interior. randy 77zt Posted September 26, 2012 Share Posted September 26, 2012 I made a shift rod with some 3/8 rod,a thread dye,and 2 3/8 heim joints on a car I built for a friend.You can get a steel rod in 3' lengths at orchard supply.The rod can be bent in a vise. cgraner Posted September 28, 2012 Author Share Posted September 28, 2012 I talked to someone at JTR and they said you can modify the auto shift rod that came with an auto 280Z.
