lt.dangle34
Hey guys, I am doing a v8 conversion in my 79 280zx, my question is should i swap the factory p/s to a factory manual rack to accomodate for the v8 clearance and adaption? Im undecided whether I will do a ls1 or the 400hp carbed 355 I already have? Any input is greatly appreciated, also Ive noticed that alot of people are saying 79-83 z's are narrower in the engine compartment than the prior models. Will this be an issue fitting the v8 or the steering? Do they use the same conversion mounts as the 78 and earlier? Ive searched the forum without getting definate answers. Thanks Edited October 5, 2012 by lt.dangle34
Kenji
I went with a manual rack, I mean the car is so light. I didn't think it was needed and it also will reduce costs a bit.
