Ben's Z
Tonight I was trying to put my oil return on the bottom of the turbo, but the trouble is the tube is hitting the pan tube before I have enough clearance to bolt the tube to the turbo. Its as though I need more space between the turbo and and exhaust manifold. As of now all I have is the metal gasket between the turbo and ex. manifold, which I presume to be correct. My pan went on the block fine so I sure it is not bent or favoring the drivers side of the block, certainly not the probably 3/8" I need to get enough clearance to bolt it on. Both the oil feed and return are "parallel" to the ground, so I'm sure nothing is clocked wrong if you could even clock anything wrong to begin with on the cast part of the turbo. Ben's Z
In this picture the oil tube is completely up against the tube on the oil pan.
stav2201
In this picture the oil tube is completely up against the tube on the oil pan. Maybe the turbocharger itself was bolted together at the wrong angle. Which would just require your to lossen it and adjust its angle. Hopefully you didnt put the intake manifold on already. FYI, I always install the turbo and the oil return line as an assembly. This would avoid this problem in the future before you had the turbo installed.
