I'm putting together a 3.1L, when I started it up I got chain noise and valve noise other than that it was running on all six. I pull the valve cover to find chain loose. Turned off spark and cranked, little to no oil from spray bar, chain a little losse. I'm thinking the problem could be from to much space between the bearings in the lower end and that is where all the pressure is going. I know I should have plastic gauged it before but what can be done now? I ordered a new pump and a high pressure spring from Motorsport because this is all I could think of. Is there anything else I could do? If I pull it apart again and find I am right, where do you get thicher bearings? Any help would be great.
